UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2017

The minimum eligibilty to apply for UPTET 2017 is a degree with at least 50% marks. UPBEB (Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board) is the exam conducting authority that stipulates the eligibility criteria for UPTET.

UPTET is conducted everyear to fill vacant positions of Primary and Upper Primary Level Teachers in various schools of Uttar Pradesh. UPTET 2017 is scheduled on October 15, 2017. A total of 1500 vacant seats are to be filled through UPTET this year. Check  UPTET 2017 Answer Key and Paper Analysis

  • UPTET 2017 Admit Card is available at the official website i.e.upbasiceduboard.gov.in till the exam date i.e. October 15
  • Candidates who score 60% (90/150 marks) of the total marks would be considered qualified for UPTET Recruitment.
  • However, the reserved category candidates are required to score only 55% marks (82/150 marks) to qualify.
  • Candidates who qualify the exam would be getting the UPTET eligibility certificate.​

UPTET Eligibility guidelines for both the test are given below:

1. Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Level):

  • Degree with Minimum 50% from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ Freedom Fighters will be given for 05% in Degree & 02 years Diploma (D.Ed) from N.C.T.E/ Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). OR
  • Degree with 02 years B.T.C., C.T. (Nursery)/ Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) (02 years) from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university. Eligible Candidates can OR
  • Degree with qualify in Special B.T.C. Training from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university. OR
  • Degree with 02 years B.T.C. Urdu Special Training in Uttar Pradesh from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university. OR
  • 04 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). 

2. Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Level):

  • Degree with B.T.C. from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized university & National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) OR
  • Degree with 50% form Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized institution/ Degree (B.Ed)/ B.Ed Special Education from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). OR
  • Intermediate with 50% & 04 years B.A/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.A.Ed from recognized by N.C.T.E./ U.G.C. OR
  • Intermediate with minimum 50% & 04 years Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Degree with minimum 45% from Established by Law and U.G.C. recognized institution (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ Freedom Fighter candidates will be given for 05%) & B.Ed.

UPBEB is expected to release the answer ofUPTET soon after the exam. It is expected that a large number of candidates will apply for the exam and all of them will need UPTET Preparation Tips in order to define a preparation strategy and qualify the exam with good scores.

Those who qualify UPTET 2017 will be issued an eligibility certificate to apply for the post of teachers in state government schools.   1. There is a ray of hope for nearly 66,000 Shiksha Mitras of UP who were appointed for children aged between 6 to 14 years. The Supreme Court on July 25 said that “right to education was a right to quality education”, rejecting its earlier idea of canceling the appointment of 1.78 lakh teachers in UP Junior Schools. It also said that “consideration for the career of 1.78 lakh Shiksha Mitras, over and above their legal right, cannot be at the cost of fundamental right of children to free quality education by duly qualified teachers in terms of legislative mandate”. UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2017 – Age limit

Candidates who are belonging from general category (UR) should be more than or equal 18 Years and less than 35 Yearsin age. There is age relaxation for reserved categories which is shown below:

  • There are no fixed number of attempts in UPTET.

Nationality

  • Candidate should be a citizen of India.
  • Candidates who belong to Nepal/ Bhutan /Tibet are also eligible to apply.

UPTET Eligibility Certificate 2017 

  • Candidates who score 60% (90/150 marks) of the total marks would be considered qualified for UPTET Recruitment.
  • However, the reserved category candidates are required to score only 55% marks (82/150 marks) to qualify.
  • Candidates possess a Diploma from NCTE/RCI will be given preference.
  • Candidates who qualify the exam would be getting the UPTET eligibility certificate. Check UPTET Result
  • It is valid for 5 years.
  • Eligibility Certificate can be taken from the district education board by providing a copy of UPTET Admit Card and Photo Identity Card.
  • Candidates who want to acquire a second copy of the UPTET Eligibility Certificate can avail by paying fees of INR 300 through DD (Demand Draft) payable at:

Secretary, Examination Controller Officer,

Uttar Pradesh, 23 Allenganj,

Allahabad.   

A candidate has to submit copies of the following documents to retrieve the second copy of UPTET Eligibility Certificate:

  1. Class X mark-sheet
  2. UPTET Admit Card
  3. Caste Certificate
  4. PH Certificate
  5. Advertisement of lost Eligibility Certificate in Newspaper
  6. FIR Copy of lost UPTET Eligibility Certificate

UPTET 2017 Minimum Qualifying Marks

UPBEB will fix the minimum qualifying marks for all the candidates who will appear for UPTET 2017 exam and the candidates will have to secure marks according to the minimum qualifying marks in order to qualify the exam.

    UPTET Admit Card 2017

    UPTET Admit Card 2017 will be made available from December 2017 onwards. All candidates who successfully fill UPTET Application Form will be eligible to download the hall ticket. 

    • UPTET Admit Card 2017 will be available for download from the official website i.e. upbasiceduboard.gov.in
    • Candidates can download it by using their Registration No., Date of Birth/ Password.
    • UPTET 2017 will be conducted in 2 shifts in over 200 centers across Uttar Pradesh.
    • UPBEB will not issue any hard copy of admit card.
    • In case of any discrepancy observed in UP TET Admit Card, candidates should immediately contact secretarypnp.up@gmail.com

    Hi Om Prakash, Please check this Here are the basic UPTET Eligibility Criteria in brief:

    1 Minimum UPTET Qualifying Marks for Bachelors is 50% OR 4 years diploma in special education.

    2 Minimum 50% aggregate in class XII.

    3 Age must fall between 18 Years and 35 Years.

    4 No fixed number of attempts in UPTET.

    5 Candidates from reserved categories would be given age relaxation as per the norms.
