UPSC CAPF 2017 Results

UPSC CAPF Result is expected to be released in the first wek of September 2017. The result is released separately for different stages of the UPSC CAPF 2017 Selection Process. The result is declared on the official website of UPSC in PDF format.

The PDF provides the list of candidates who have qualified for the further stages of CAPF Selection process. The list is prepared by comparing the marks obtained by the candidate and the minimum marks mentioned in the CAPF Cutoff. Candidates have to search for their roll number in the provided PDF.

The candidates who qualify the final stage of the CAPF Recruitment i.e. the personality test (interview) receive a marksheet. The Marksheet is displayed online 15 days after the declaration of the final result of UPSC CAPF 2017.

How to Check UPSC CAPF Result for Written Test

A candidate can follow the steps given below to check the UPSC CAPF Result, once it is updated on the official website of UPSC.

  • Visit the website of UPSC on the scheduled date
  • Click on the link provided on the homepage for UPSC CAPF Results
  • A pdf file is generated having the roll number of the candidates who have qualified in CAPF Written Test
  • A candidate has to find his/her roll no in the pdf file of CAPF Result
  • One can download the pdf file and can even take its print-out for future reference

CAPF Answer Key

UPSC will release the Official CAPF Answer Key on the official website by August 01, 2017 (tentatively). The CAPF Answer key is made available in the codes A, B, C and D according to the test booklets of CAPF Written Exam.

The responses can be checked by a candidate, as per the booklet provided to him/her during the exam. CAPF Answer Key helps a candidate to measure his/her performance in UPSC CAPF written exam. A candidate must remember that CAPF Answer Key is released only for the objective type Paper 1. No CAPF Answer Key is released for Paper 2, being subjective in nature. 

CAPF Vacancies

UPSC CAPF 2017 is the national level government exam for recruitment to the post of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

CAPF marksheet for Written Exam is published by Ministry of Home Affairs in the Gazette of India dated March 12, 2017. Reservation is given as per policy of the Govt. 10% of the total vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen. In case the vacancies reserved for Ex-servicemen remain unfilled because non-availability of eligible or qualified candidates, the same is filled by candidates who do not belong to ex-servicemen category.

CAPF Merit List

CAPF 2017 Merit list forms the basis of qualification of candidates to the further stages. The scores of the candidate or candidate’s performance at various stages of CAPF Selection process Following points are considered for the preparation of CAPF Merit List:

  • Initially, CAPF Written Examination is conducted in the recruitment process that consists of two paper i.e. Paper 1 (Objective) and Paper 2 (Subjective)
  • The candidates who qualify the first stage of that is CAPF Written Test by securing the desired CAPF Cut-off score or marks as decided by the Commission are considered for next round of CAPF Selection Process
  • Candidates who are declared qualified in the Written exam for CAPF appear for the CAPF Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests
  • The next phase in the CAPF Selection Process is CAPF Interview. Qualified aspirants in the Medical Standards Tests appear in the Interview/Personality Test that is conducted by the Commission
  • Score obtained in all the rounds is considered for final selection by the Commission. UPSC then prepares the CAPF Merit List by considering the marks of a candidate in both the stages of CAPF Selection Process
  • Service Allocation to the candidates is done on the basis of position in the CAPF Merit List

CAPF Cut Off

The CAPF Cutoff is released officially by the conducting authority on the official website. On the basis of the Cutoff, the candidates are qualify for the Physical Standards, Physical Efficiency, and Medical Standard Test. The Final CAPF Cutoff is published after the declaration of CAPF Final result. Given below is the expected CAPF Cut Off for final selection:

UPSC CAPF Selection Process

On the basis of the UPSC CAPF Result for the CAPF, the candidates qulaify for CAPF Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test. However, the candidature of all the candidates whose Roll Numbers are shown in the UPSC CAPF Result List is Provisional, subject to their being found eligible in all respects.

The candidates are required to produce the original certificates in support of their claims related to age of the candidate, educational qualifications, and community at the time of the UPSC CAPF Personality Test. It is important that a candidate keeps the following points in mind related to UPSC CAPF Results:

  • Once the UPSC CAPF Results are declared, qualified candidates are intimated the date, time and venue of the CAPF Physical Standards Test or Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and CAPF Medical Standards Test by the Border Security Force
  • In case, any candidate do not receive the CAPF Call letter for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Standards Test (MST) by October 3, 2017, he/she may contact the HQ, DG, Border Security Force on Telephone No. 011-24364851-55 Extension 2601/ 2606/2615/2623, FAX No. 011-24368233 and via mail on e-mail ID
  • The qualified candidates requires to get themselves registered before filling up the CAPF Online Detailed Application Form and must upload the scanned copies of relevant certificates or documents in support of their eligibility and claim of reservation through the CAPF official website 
  • CAPF Online Detailed Application Form (DAF) are made available on the Commission’s website from Mid of October 2017 onwards.
  • A candidate can even read or go through the important instructions regarding filling up the CAPF DAF and submission of the same, on the website of UPSC
  • A candidate must submit a hard copy of CAPF Online DAF, along-with relevant documents like proof of date of birth, educational qualification, caste, Civilian Central Govt. Service employee, resident of J&K, to the BSF authorities at the time of conduct of his/her CAPF PET and MST
  • In case, any candidate has made some change in his/her address then he/she must inform the same to the HQ, DG, BSF, Block No. 10, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003 Telephone No. 011-24364851 – 55 Extension 2601/ 2606 / 2615/ 2623 FAX No. 011-24368233 & email ID and U.P.S.C. through letter or FAX as soon as possible
  • The marks-sheet of all candidates and any other useful information is uploaded on the website of UPSC within 15 days from the date of publication of the CAPF Final Result and remains available there for a period of 30 days
