SSC MTS 2016 Exam Pattern

SSC MTS (Staff Selection Commission Multi- Tasking Staff examination) is conducted by SCC (Staff Selection Commission). SSC conducts 2 papers for the recruitment of multi-tasking staff. SSC MTS can be conducted on online or offline mode. SSC MTS is tentatively scheduled to be conducted in January 2017.

Paper 1 and Paper 2 can either be conducted on the same day or else Paper 2 can be conducted for those candidates who qualify Paper 1, if it is not conducted on the same day. Paper 1 is objective type paper and Paper 2 is a descriptive paper. Time duration for Paper I is of 2 hours. However, 2 hours 40 minutes duration is provided to the visually handicapped candidates or cerebral palsy candidates.

Paper 2 is a 30 minutes duration test. The maximum marks for SSC MTS paper 1 is 150 marks, whereas Paper II is an essay type question paper and total marks for the same is 50 marks.

SSC MTS 2016 exam has a provision of negative marking. For every wrong marked answer, 0.25 of the marks is deducted. The aspiring candidates of SSC MTS can access more details from the official website:

SSC MTS 2016 Exam Pattern Highlights

SSC MTS exam is conducted in 2 papers- paper 1 and paper 2. Paper I consists 4 sections- General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. SSC MTS Paper II Highlights

Paper 1 and paper 2, both are conducted on the same day. Paper 2 is a 30 minutes duration test. This paper consists essay writing and letter writing questions. A candidate has to choose any one of the two. The total marks of the SSC MTS paper 2 is 50 marks. In the following table, SSC MTS paper 2 highlights are mentioned. Note: Paper II can be conducted for those candidates who qualify in Paper I, if the examination for Paper II is not conducted on a subsequent date. This paper intends to test language skills.

SSC MTS 2016 Topic wise Paper Analysis
