SSC JE 2017 Notification has been released by SSC on October 20, 2017. According to latest RTI Reply approx 10 lakhs (1041604) candidates have registered for the Junior Engineer Exam 2017 of SSC. SSC conducts SSC JE (Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer) examination. Candidates appearing for this examination are recruited for the post of Junior Engineers and Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts by the Commission. Check SSC JE Exam Dates 

  1. Registration- Visit the official website (ssc.nic.in) and register by filling up your personal and academic details.
  2. Fee Payment- Pay the application fee of INR 100 in either online or offline mode.
  3. Upload Documents- Upload your recent Photograph and Signature in given specifications. Check Here

SSC JE Registration Dates 2017

Candidates must note that the application for SSC JE 2017 can only be done online only and no other offline mode of registration would be available or applicable. The table below consists of all the events and dates which candidates need to keep in mind for the successful writing of SSC JE 2017 Exam:

SSC JE 2017 Registration 

Registration Pre-requisites – 

Before starting with the registration process, candidates must see to it that they have the following ready to avoid any hassle during application:

  • A valid, working email ID
  • A scanned version of a passport size photo with dimensions as specified
  • A scanned image of candidate’s signature with dimensions as specified
  • Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking details in case candidate is opting for online payment
  • The correct equivalent percentage of qualifying marks if candidate’s qualifying exam had grade/CPGA
  • Any past work experience details needed for the post candidate is applying for

The online application form of SSC JE will be filled in two parts:-

  1. Part 1 – registration involves filling up of basic details.
  2. Part 2 – registration involves filling of payment details, uploading of photograph and scanned signature.

Part 1 of SSC JE Application Form

Step 1: Click on the link ‘SSC JE 2017 Application Form Released – Apply Here’ that will be provided on this page.

Step 2: The link will redirect the candidates to a new page, where candidates should fill up basic details as asked such as name, parents name, address, academic qualifications and contact details.

Step 3: Check all the details carefully and ensure no mistakes are made while filling up the application form.

Step 4: On submission of details, candidates shall be prompted to check details and make correction (if any) in the application form

Step 5: After checking all the details thoroughly, Candidates should press ‘I agree’ button. Thereafter no correction/modification shall be allowed.

Upon successful submission of part 1 of the SSC JE application form, a unique system generated registration numbers will be issued to the applicants. They should note down the registration no. Or take print out of the page. After completing part 1, candidates can move forth with part 2 of the application form.

Part 2 of SSC JE Application Form

Step 1: Login in part II of the application form with the registration id and date of birth.

Step 2: After login for part 2 of SSC JE application form, the next step would be payment of application fees.

Step 3: To pay fee in cash, candidate should take print-out of challan generated online after completion of part I registration. Deposit the requisite fee in pay branch of State Bank of India and then continue with the Part II registration. Candidates paying application fee online through SBI net banking/debit card/credit cards, can go directly to part II registration after completion of part I.

Step 4: After paying application fee, Candidates will have to upload scanned copies of their latest color passport size photo graph and signature in the application form.

Step 5: The scanned photograph should be in 8 – bit JPG format. The digital size of the file must be less than 12 kb and greater than 4 kb and of resolution 100 pixel widths by 120 pixels height.

Step 6: Then upload scanned signature in 8 – bit JPG format. The digital size of the file must be less than 12 kb and greater than 1 kb and of resolution 140 pixel width by 60 pixels height. As per specifically mentioned in para 16 of the notice of the examination.

Step 7: Candidates then ‘submit’ the application form and take a print out of the application form.

SSC JE Application Form 2017 - Application fee Details

The application fee for general category candidate is INR 100 and women/ST/SC/Physically Handicapped and Ex.Servicemen candidates are exempted from fee payment.
