SNAP Registration 2017

Registration for SNAP 2017 is open now. Candidates can fill SNAP Application Form between August 10- November 24. Registrations have to be made in online mode only, at the official website i.e. snaptest.org. As per SNAP Eligibility, applicants holding a Bachelor’s Degree (with 50% marks for general category and 45% for reserved category) can apply for the exam. 

The process of applying for SNAP consists of 4 main steps viz.

  1. Registration (Part 1)- Enter your mobile number and email id. Verify accounts with the OTP received through SMS & email.
  2. Payment of Fee- Pay the application fee through either online mode (INR 1750) or Demand Draft (INR 2065).
  3. Registration (Part 2)- Enter your personal & academic details and upload your photograph and documents in the specified format. 
  4. Institute Registration and Payment for Program- Choose your preferred institute and course and make separate payment for the same.
NOTE: Candidates are advised to complete SNAP Registration within the prescribed time slot, as it expires after 30 minutes.

SNAP Registration 2017 for Foreign Candidates

  • For any foreign candidate to apply for SNAP, he needs to visit scie.ac.in.
  • It is mandatory for NRI category candidates to have appeared for their graduation in India to appear for SNAP.
  • An NRI candidate (graduated from a recognized university in India) after having applied for SNAP 2017, has the option of consideration of his candidature as a national student or under NRI category.
  • In case an NRI candidate chooses to apply under NRI category, he will have to further register and apply through Symbiosis Center for International Education.
  • However, OCI/ PIO/ Foreign National/ NRI candidates (having passed graduation from a recognized foreign university) are exempted from appearing for SNAP and have to apply through Symbiosis Center for International Education.

Candidates who register successfully can download their SNAP Admit Card between December 01, 2017 to December 17, 2017. Symbiosis International University will conduct SNAP 2017 on December 17

How to Register for SNAP 2017?

Registartion for SNAP can be done online at snaptest.org. You have to first register yourself and pay the application fee before proceeding to the form filling stage. To register, you must first keep handy the beloew details:

  • Valid email address
  • Valid mobile phone number
  • Name of candidate as on official documents
  • Date of Birth as on official documents

    Step 1: New User Registration

    1. Go to SNAP Official Website: www.snaptest.org
    2. Click on ‘Register Now

    1. Read all the ‘Instructions for Online Application’
    2. Agree to the Terms & Conditions and Click ‘I Agree’
    3. Enter the Registration Information, SNAP Exam Appearing City and Create password after clicking submit.

    Step 2: Application Fee Payment

    • Pay the application fee through either online mode (INR 1750) or Demand Draft (INR 2065).
    • To pay online, you may choose Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking.
    • To pay using a Demand Draft, draw it in favor of Symbiosis University – “Symbiosis Test Secretariat”, payable at Pune.
    • You may also pay the fee using a Challan of Axis Bank or Indian Bank branch. This Challan will be in three parts which are the Bank’s copy, Institutes’s copy and Student’s copy. On paying the fee to the branches, you are required to submit the challan to the Bank official. After signing and entering the details, the Bank official will return the candidate and Institute copy of the Challan.

    1. Enter Personal Details i.e. Name, Gender, DOB, Category and Nationality.

    SNAP 2017 Registration for Institute Program

    Candidates who have registered for SNAP 2017 can only apply for the Institutes under Symbiosis International University (SIU). They can easily apply for all the institutes through the official website. Please read below the steps for registration for the institutions:

    1. Select the college name and log on to the official website of the college.
    2. Complete the registration by providing SNAP 2017 Registration details.
    3. Make separate payment of INR 1000/- (+ applicable Payment gateway charges, GST, and any other taxes) per programme per institute at this stage. 
    4. If you want to pay the programme payment through Demand Draft, make a Demand Draft of INR 1180/- (INR1000/- per programme and INR 180/- GST @18%)
    5. However, getting registered only with the institute does not entitle an applicant to get the admission.
    6. To complete the admission process, candidates need to wait for the result and the call letter from the college.

    Guidelines for sending application to the institute

    • NRI candidates should check the eligibility guidelines given by the institute before applying to the institute.
    • No changes will be made in the application form after the closing date in November 24, 2017.
    • In case the courier documents are not received on time or there is some delay then Symbiosis Test Secretariat will not be held responsible.
    • The application fee for the institute and for the exntrance exam is non-refundable and non-transferable.

    SNAP 2017 Registration for Foreign Nationals

    The four groups to be accepted under the foreign nationals’ category in SNAP are:

    Foreign national

    • A candidate who has a foreign passport and holds a citizenship of any other country can be considered under this category.

    Person of Indian Origin

    • A candidate will fall under this category if he possesses a PIO card.
    • It is a privilege card issued by the Government of India to the candidates who are basically of Indian origin but are settled abroad.
    • Also, it is necessary to have citizenship card of any other country.

    Overseas citizen of India

    • OCI card issued by the Government of India for Indians settled in other countries.
    • A card holder who has citizenship of some country except Pakistan or Bangladesh will fall under this category.

    Non Resident Indian

    • A candidate who has completed Class 12th or Graduation from outside India will fall under this category.
    • It is necessary that candidate has appeared for one of the two qualifying examinations outside India.
    • Further details can be checked at scie.ac.in. Candidate can apply online through the portal designed especially for foreign candidates.
    NOTE: The English proficiency test is necessary for all the candidates of foreign nationals/OCI/PIO category. IELTS conducted by British council or IELA exam has to be cleared. The minimum cut off in IELTS exam is 6 and IELA exam is 4.

    Guidelines for Foreign Nationals

    1. Candidates willing to apply can visit scie.ac.in and register themselves.
    2. It is mandatory for NRI category candidates to have appeared for their graduation in India to appear for SNAP.
    3. An NRI candidate (graduated from a recognized university in India) after having applied for SNAP 2017, has the option of consideration of his candidature as a national student or under NRI category.
    4. In case an NRI candidate chooses to apply under NRI category, he will have to further register and apply through Symbiosis Center for International Education.
    5. However, OCI/ PIO/ Foreign National/ NRI candidates (having passed graduation from a recognized foreign university) are exempted from appearing for SNAP and have to apply through Symbiosis Center for International Education.
    6. An applicant must have completed 3-year bachelor’s program from any recognized university or board outside India.
    7. The candidate must have completed the examination with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
    8. In the case of B. Tech, a 4-year degree is only acceptable and must have a minimum of 50% marks in it.
    9. Those candidates who are appearing for the final year exam can apply but admission will be done only after the final result has been declared. Minimum of 50% aggregate marks is mandatory else the candidature is invalid.
    10. No backlogs must be there when candidates are applying for SNAP, else the candidature is rejected.
    11. Please check the institution wise criteria available for the courses offered before applying.

    • 2 letter of recommendation (original copy)

    Document Submission

    • Hard copy of all the documents listed above have to be sent by courier to the office.
    • Candidates registering onlinr need to take the printout of the form and attach it with all the documents asked.

    Document Verification

    • The documents received by courier will be checked against the documents uploaded.
    • The shortlisted candidates will be called for admission formalities.
    • Following criteria will form the basis of selection:
    1. Previous academic record
    2. SNAP score ( IF applicable)
    3. English Proficiency test (if applicable)
    4. Statement of purpose
    5. Letter of recommendation
    6. Work experience and achievements
    7. PIO card or OCI card

    SNAP Merit List 2017

    • SNAP 2017 Merit list will be formed by the administrative academy for foreign candidates.
    • Candidate who have been selected they will be sent a mail.
    • When candidates receive the mail then they have to send their intention whether they wish to join or not.
    • If candidates wishes to join then they need to do part payment of administrative fees and course fee.

    SNAP Eligibility 2017

    SIU has defined minimum eligibility conditions for a candidate to register for the exam. It is mandatory to fulfill these criteria so as to avoid cancellation of candidature. Read below to know SNAP Eligibility:

    • Candidates from General Category must have a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks. 
    • SC/ST Category students must have at least 45% marks in Graduation. 
    • Candidates appearing in final year are also eligible. 
    • There is no age-limit to apply for SNAP.
    • Candidates having foreign degrees must be verified from AIU.
