NTSE Admit Card 2017

The last date to download NTSE Admit Card 2017 (Stage 1) was November 1. It was released at the respective official websites. Your Application Number and Date of Birth was required to download the Admit Card. NCERT will conduct NTSE Stage 1 on November 5, 6 and 13, 2017 in offline mode.

  • Candidates who successfully filled NTSE Form were given the hall ticket.
  • Qualifying Marks for each paper is 40% of unreserved category and 32% for reserved category candidates.

Important Note: It has been observed that a number of candidates do not receive their NTSE Admit Card. In such a case, you need to take a print of blank admit card (along with instructions) that is uploaded on ncert.nic.in. Then, fill details, attach your photo and get it attested from the Principal of the concerned school or by a Gazetted officer. You need to present this admit card at the time of NTSE Exam.

  • All candidates appearing for NTSE can obtain the admit cards through offline mode.
  • Admit card to all eligible candidates will also be sent through post.
  • To download NTSE Admit Card online, visit the official website of NCERT.
  • For NTSE Admit Card (Stage 1), the mode of availability will be decided as per the provisions set by states.

  1. Visit the official website of NTSE
  2. Click on the official link for downloading the NTSE 2017 Admit Card.
  3. Enter ‘Application number’ and ‘Date of Birth’.
  4. Click on ‘Submit’ button.
  5. Download and print Admit Card displayed on the screen.

What after downloading NTSE Admit Card?

  1. Once you have the hall ticket in hand, cross-check all the details.
  2. In case of an incorrect detail, you must contact the authority immediately.
  3. In case your photograph/ signature is missing, carry a photograph to the exam hall along with a photo ID in original.

Documents to Carry with NTSE Admit Card

  • Candidates should carry a valid photo ID proof along with the NTSE Admit Card while appearing for the exam.
  • The Exam Department will carry out identity verification process to prevent fraudulent candidate during NTSE.
  • Candidates may also carry their Aadhar card or Student Identity Card issued by their school authorities as a valid ID proof along with the admit card.

Problems in Downloading NTSE Admit Card 2017

Candidates must not mutilate NTSE Admit Card or change any entry made after it has been authenticated and received by them. A candidate may be unable to download NTSE Admit Card 2017 due to the following reasons:

Candidates can easily retrieve their password for NTSE by following these simple instructions. They will find this option on the official website only.

  1. Visit the official website of NTSE i.e. ncert.nic.in
  2. Click on Forget ‘Password’
  3. Enter the application number and click on ‘Get Password’
  4. The password will be sent to the e-mail ID and registered mobile number of the candidates

Instructions on NTSE Hall Ticket 2017

Candidates should follow the below instructions while appearing for NTSE.

  • Candidates should reach the examination center about half an hour earlier to the commencement of the exam.
  • They should occupy the seats corresponding to their roll number after entering the exam hall.
  • Candidates should not carry any material such as calculators, mathematical and physical tables or any other kind of prohibited items to the exam hall.
  • Candidates should hand over their NTSE Admit Card to the invigilators when asked by them.
  • The exam will be conducted in two sessions on the same day.
  • Candidates are supposed to write their roll number in the space provided on the front page of Question booklet and the Answer sheet.
  • All the questions in the exam are objective type. There are four options for each question. The candidates need to select one correct option.
  • The candidate should use only ball-point pen for marking the answers. The candidates are supposed to indicate the answer on answer sheets as directed by their respective State or UT.
  • Candidates should strictly follow the instructions of the invigilator during the exam.
  • After the completion of the exam, candidates are required to hand over the question booklet and answer sheet to the invigilator.

NTSE Admit Card FAQs

Ques. I have misplaced my admit card. Can I still appear for the exam?

Ans. No, entry to the hall exam will be permitted only if you present your NTSE Admit Card, along with a valid photo ID card. Failure to present these will lead to an inability to sit for the exam.

Ques. Is my photo not clear on my admit card? What should I do?

Ans. Don't worry! Make sure you present a valid photo ID card while sitting for the exam.

Ques. Who should I contact in case of discrepancy in Stage 1 admit card?

Ans. Often, candidates find discrepancies in their admit card.  For State Level NTS Examination Enquiry, contact the Liaison Officer of your State. NCERT does not entertain inquiries for Stage 1.

Ques. Where should I contact for NTS National Level Examination Inquiry?

Ques. Who should I contact for seeking information about NTSE Stage 2 roll number and venue of exam?

Ans. There is no need to contact anybody in such a case. NCERT will directly send you your roll number by speed post. This letter will indicate center and other details.

Ques. How is the exam center allotted in Stage 2?

Ans. There are 36 exam centers in total. For Stage 2 exam, normally, a candidate belonging to a particular state is allotted a center in his respective state only. However, the final rights are reserved by NCERT only. No change of exam centers will be entertained.
