How to Apply for B.Des Programme in NID

  • Go to official website
  • Download application form
  • Fill all the particulars in application form
  • Candidate have to drawn a demand draft from bank in favor of National Institute Of Design payable at Ahmedabad
  • Demand draft cost for General and Non Creamy OBC is Rs 1500, for SC/ST/PH is Rs 750 for NRI is $30.
  • Candidate should mention their names and address on the back of demand draft
  • All reserved categories students also have to submit their caste certificate(SC/ST/OBC NON CEAMY) also PH candidate have to obtain their certificate the chief medical officer
  • Candidate applying for GDPD have to obtain these documents — 10th class and 12th class certificate and date of birth certificate. For general category Candidate born before 1st June, 1994 are not eligible and for reserved category candidate born before 1st June, 1991 are not eligible
  • NRI candidate have to obtain these documents also attested proof of NRI resident and copy of passport. Candidates holding OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) or PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) status are not eligible to apply
  • Post the filled form along with the demand draft drawn on any nationalized bank, Caste certificate and other self attested above mentioned documents
  • If any candidate is applying for two courses then he have to fill out separate two forms

How to Apply For M.Des Programme in NID

Applicants applying for the M.Des programme in NID can follow the above steps.

  • List of the documents that Applicant for M.Des programme needs to send enclosed with the Demand Draft:
  • Candidate needs to submit 10th and 12th class certificate
  • Candidate has to submit his Date of Birth Certificate (upper age limit for general category as on June 1, 2015 is 30 Years and relaxation of 3 years for reserved categories)
  • Self attested copies of caste category issued by competent authority for SC/ST/PH/OBC non creamy layer candidates

Age Limit for M.Des Program

  • For General Category: Candidate born before 1st June, 1985 not eligible
  • For Reserved Categories: Candidate born before 1st June, 1982 not eligible

Note: M.Des Candidate can apply at max for 2 programmes

Then please note that:

  • Those candidates applying for 2 programmes must send 2 separate application forms along with 2 separate sets of documents and 2 two separate set of demand draft in two separate envelops.
  • Applicant without relevant documents will be rejected
  • Application fee will not be refunded in case of rejected application forms
  • No official communication will be made regarding rejected form

NID 2016 Hall ticket for the second phase of admission will be posted to all the qualified students by the second week of March, 2016. All the information regarding this will be posted on the NID admission website.  Students those who were called will have to attend the studio test and interview for the complete selection procedure.
