KCET 2018 Application Form

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts the KCET for the admission to undergraduate engineering, dental and medical courses in the institutes of Karnataka. KCET/KEA 2018 Registration will begin from January 28, 2018 and continue till March 08, 2018.

Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility norms set by KEA can apply online by visiting the official website of KCET.  Application fee varies as per the category of candidates. Candidates can also edit the information given in the KCET Application form 2018 on the official website. Edited or corrected Application form should be submitted by March 31, 2018.

Candidates need to follow 3 major steps, registration and form filling, uploading of images and fee payment to complete the process. The basic application fee for the general category students is INR 650. Payment has to be done by sent a DD in favour of ‘Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority’, payable at Bangalore.

How to Apply for KCET 2018?

Candidates need to first register to be able to fill the application form. Visit the official website and click on the link CET 2018 online application’. After clicking on the link, CET 2018 online application homepage will appear. After clicking on the ‘New User’, register yourself. Read instructions carefully before proceeding to apply online.

Steps to fill KCET Form 2018

Step1:  Login at official website

Visit the official website and click on the ‘Click Here’ button displayed on Login and proceed to fill up the application form.

On the login page, candidates have to enter the following credentials and click on the ‘Login’ button:

  • User Id
  • Password
  • Security Code

Step 2: Fill the registration form

  • Candidates who are appearing in Karnataka 2nd PUC Annual Examination 2018 needs to click on radio button “Yes”.
  • Enter the student number and click on Submit button. Candidate can edit this information if there is any incorrect data.
  • Click on “No” button if you are appearing for any board like CBSE OR ICSC other than Karnataka PU Board Examination.
  • Enter your name, father’s name, mother’s name and DOB as per SSLC / 10th marks card.
  • Create your own user id and password. Please save user id and password created at the time of registration for future use.
  • Enter contact number in the registration form, to receive SMS alerts related to ongoing CET 2018 process.
  • After successful registration, the candidate will receive a “Registration Successful” message with user Id and application number to his/her mobile number provided during registration.
  • Candidates are required to save their user id and application number for further CET process.

Step 3:  Filling of Online Application Form

In the Application form, the candidate’s name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, Gender, mobile number and the Email ID will already be mentioned. Applicants need to enter the following details on the application form:

Student Information

  • Mother Tongue (As per school/ college record)
  • Annual income of the Family
  • Religion
  • Nationality
  • Reservation Category
  • Name of the Caste
  • Caste/ Category/ income Certificate number
  • Eligibility Clause Code
  • Location to write the Common Entrance Examination

Examination Details

  • Name of University/ Board
  • Name of the School
  • Are you appearing for Karnataka 2nd PUC Annual Examination 2017 (Science)?
  • PUC Student Number
  • Otherwise, year of Graduation
  • Did you study in rural area of Karnataka from 1st to 10th standard?
  • Did you study in Kannada Medium from 1st to 10th standard?

Candidate’s Postal address for Communication

  • Address
  • District
  • Pin code
  • Did you study SSLC/ 10th standard in Karnataka?
  • State where appeared for 2nd PUC/ 12th/ Equivalent exam
  • District where you appeared for 2nd PUC/ 12th/ Equivalent exam (if Karnataka)

  • Are you a son/daughter of Jammu & Kashmiri Migrant?
  • Reservation for claiming special category
  • Are you eligible to claim Reservation quota under agriculturist?
  • Select Agriculture Practical Exam Centre

Details of Appearing Previous CET Exams

  • Did you appear for Previous CET Exam?
  • CET Number
  • Did you obtain any seat in CET and taken admission to college

After entering all the required details, save them and then click on “Save and Next” button.

Study Details

In this section, candidates are required to enter the following study details from class 1 to II PUC/ Class XII/ Qualifying Examination:

  • Name and Address of the school/ College with Telephone Number
  • Classes Studied
  • Year of Study From; Year of Study to
  • Year of Passing

After entering all the required details, save them and then click on “Save and Next” button.

Step 4: Uploading of Scanned Images

In this step, candidates have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, left hand thumb impression and signature of their parents.

After completing all the above-mentioned steps, candidates should carefully verify the entries. For making any changes, they have to login and make the changes before selecting the declaration.

After the scanned images are uploaded, the Declaration page will be displayed on the screen. Candidates will require making a tick on the ‘I Agree’ box and click on ‘Next’ button to make the fee payment.

Step 5: Payment of Fees

After successfully submitting the details in the form, candidates have to download and take a print out of the e-challan to make the payment for the application form.

Candidates have to go to any of the branches of the following banks to submit the application fee:

  • State Bank of Mysore
  • Indian Bank
  • State Bank of Hyderabad

Important Documents Required to fill KCET 2018 Application Form

The applicant should have the following documents in order to fill the KCET Application Form 2018:

  1. Scanned image of photograph and signature according to the following specifications.
  2. Class X certificate
  3. Class X Mark-Sheet
  4. Class XII Mark Sheet (if available)
  5. Class XII Hall Ticket
  6. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  7. Caste Certificate for OBC-NCL (if applicable)
  8. PwD Certificate for candidates seeking admission under PwD (if applicable)

KCET 2018 Application Fee

Application fee for KCET 2018 can be paid via Bank Challan or Demand Draft. DD must be drawn in favour of ‘Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority’, payable at Bangalore. The table below comprises KCET 2018 Application fee of different categories:

Retrieving Application Number and Password

The candidate needs to click on ‘Forgot Password’ in case the candidate forgets the password. Candidate needs to create a new password by entering the below-mentioned details:

  1. User ID
  2. Application Number
  3. Secret Question
  4. Answer and enter the security code
  5. Click on Submit button

KCET 2018 Application Form Status

In order to check the KCET 2018 Application Form status, the candidates have to follow these steps:

  1. Visit the KCET Official website.
  2. Go to the Candidate login page.
  3. Enter KCET 2018 Application No. and Password

If the "Download Acknowledgement Page" link appears on the screen then it indicates that their KCET Application Form 2018 is accepted.

KCET 2018 Form Correction

KCET Application Forms can be corrected on the official website. Candidates must submit the edited application forms by March 31, 2018. This window can be accessed once i.e. only one chance of editing the KCET Application Form will be given to the candidates. Karnataka CET 2018 Application Form can be corrected online only; no offline applications for correction of errors will be accepted.

In case, candidates want to change the category, then they have to pay a nominal fee through a DD in the favour of Executive Director, KEA. No changes can be made after confirming the declaration.

Candidates can follow the following steps to edit Karnataka CET 2018 Application Form:

  • Visit and click “Editing CET 2018 Application”
  • Enter User ID and generate OTP on your registered mobile number
  • Edit the fields you want to edit and select the “Declare Button”
  • Click the ‘Submit’ button to make sure that the changes are saved and submitted
  • Then print the edited KCET Application form
