NPCIL Recruitment through GATE 2018

NPCIL Recruitment through GATE 2018- Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has recently released an advertisement of recruitment through GATE 2018. This recruitment drive is for the position of Engineering Graduates as Executive Trainees (ET 2018).

The candidates have to submit the online applications for NPCIL Recruitment GATE 2018 by the last date to be called for further recruitment process. There is no specified application fee to apply for the NPCIL recruitment through GATE 2018.

NPCIL is a Public Sector Enterprise which functions under the administrative control of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. The Company was registered as a Public Limited Company in September 1987.

GATE or the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is National Level Post – Graduate entrance exam in Engineering and Architecture. GATE essentially examines the candidate’s acumen in subjects related to Engineering, Technology and Architecture.

Details about the openings

NPCIL is looking forward to recruit Engineering Graduates as Executive Trainees in many disciplines like Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation and Civil Engineering

The recruited candidates will be required to undergo an orientation program, i.e. training for a period of one year. This training will be conducted in any of the following Nuclear Training Centres of NPCIL at:

  • Tarapur (Maharashtra)
  • Rawatbhata (Rajasthan)
  • Kalpakkam (Tamil Nadu)
  • Kaiga (Karnataka)
  • Kudankulam (Tamil Nadu)

In order to successfully complete the training program, the candidates have to secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. After the successful completion of one year of training, they will be appointed as Scientific Officer/C. The interested candidates should keep in mind that these positions are all over India. Therefore, candidates should be open to working at different locations. The present locations include the following:

Salary Offered

The candidates will be given the following compensation during the training period:

  • Monthly Stipend - Rs. 35,000/-
  • One time Book Allowance – Rs. 10,000/-
  • Mandatory Lodging (on nominal charge) & Boarding – In NPCIL Hostels.

Following will be the salary after a period of one year of training:

  1. After successful completion of training, appointment will be as Scientific Officer/C (SO/C) in Group 'A' with following details.

Candidates will be eligible for two additional or three increments (each of 3% of Band Pay + Grade Pay) depending on performance during training program will also be admissible.

Selection Process

The selection process will be as follows:

  • The eligible candidates will be selected through an Online Test on Engineering Disciplines listed above.
  • Candidates who clear the Online Test will be interviewed at NPCIL, HQ, Mumbai. The names of selected candidates through Online Test will be posted on the NPCIL Recruitment Website. Students will be informed through Email or SMS intimation for interview will also be sent to the selected candidates. Call letter for appearing in interview will available on the website for downloading. For outstation candidates who are shortlisted to appear for the interview, two-way second-class sleeper train fare by shortest route or actual fare (whichever is less) will be given.
  • The final selection is only on the basis of performance in the Personal Interview. The personal interview will carry 100 Marks in which an Unreserved (General) candidate has to score minimum 70% marks and reserved category candidates including PWD has to score minimum 60% marks to be qualified in the interview. Final merit list of candidates will be prepared based on number of vacancies and the marks scored in Personal Interview.
  • The appointment of the selected candidates as Executive Trainee will be subject to Medical Fitness.

Candidates who wish to land a job in NPCIL should start preparing for GATE 2018 in full swing. Candidates should carefully go through the GATE Syllabus and start preparing for the exam. GATE Results will be announced on March 27, 2018 on the official website. NPCIL will release a detailed advertisement on their website in the second week of January 2018. Application Process for NPCIL

Any B. Tech. Graduate who qualifies GATE 2018 can apply for the position of Executive trainee in NPCIL. Candidates willing to take the exam should fulfil the following GATE Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate should have passed a Bachelor Degree course (4 years after 10+2, or 3 years after Diploma) in any stream.
  • The candidates who have passed a Master’s degree program in any branch namely, Mathematics, Science, Statistics or Computers Applications or equivalent degree, are also eligible to apply for GATE.
  • Candidates who are in their final year of such a degree courses are also eligible to sit for GATE 2018.

How to Apply

With this notification NPCIL suggests aspiring candidates to apply for GATE 2018 so as to be eligible to participate in the recruitment process.

The GATE score is a ticket for admissions to post graduate courses such as M.E., M.Tech. and Direct Ph.D. The GATE score is used by centrally funded Indian Institutes of higher education (Institutes which are given financial support by MHRD and other Government Institutions).

GATE Scorecard is also used by the Public and Private Sector Undertakings for recruiting candidates for their organisations. The GATE is one of the most complex examinations in the engineering field and most students dread taking it. But preparing for it before hand and in the correct manner can help you get a decent score in the GATE exam.

GATE 2018 is scheduled to be held on February 4 - 5, 2018 and February 11 - 12, 2018. GATE 2018 will be conducted in two sessions, morning and afternoon from 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM respectively. The GATE Application Process has begun from September 1, 2018. Candidates must note that the last date to submit their online applications for GATE 2017 is October 4, 201. Therefore, not much time is left for the aspiring candidates to register themselves for the exam! Students should start preparing for GATE 2018. Candidates should refer to GATE Practice Papers for preparing for the exam.
