NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering 2017 (GATE 2017) will be conducted for admission into post-graduate courses as well as Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) recruitment.It is primarily focused on testing the in-depth knowledge of students pertaining to their under-graduate degree.It is a very competitive exam and many aspiring candidates appearing for the exam,not only sit to get a post-graduate degree but also for the purpose of landing a government job.

The exam has been conducted since 1984 for post-graduate admissions and has seen many changes over a period of time.As new changes were introduced in 2016,a few more additional changes will be implemented in GATE 2017.These changes are as follows-

Candidates can now appear for GATE 2017 on Feb 4–Feb 5,2017 and Feb 11–Feb 12,2017 in two sessions-morning and afternoon from 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM respectively.It is to note that the GATE 2017 exam will be conducted only on Saturdays and Sundays.Candidates will be notified about any changes in the above dates due to unforeseen circumstances.

Similarly,candidates appearing at the international test centers will have their test timings according to their local times,however,the time and duration will not change.
GATE 2017 exam will also be conducted at various international locations.So,candidates that are studying in IITs and IISc from these countries could appear for the exam from these local test centers.These participating countries are- Bangladesh,Ethiopia,Nepal,Singapore,Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates.READ MORE GATE Exam Centers
There is no need for candidates to appear from the same city as the city they appeared from for the first examinations.Candidates are now free to take second examination from any of the stated test centers.
