UPSC Civil Services 2016 e-Summon letter for personality test has been released on the website of UPSC i.e. Candidates who have qualified the prelims and main examination are called for the personality test. The UPSC Main examination was held from December 03, 2016 to December 09, 2016. The tentative date of the commencement of the personality test is March 20, 2017.

The UPSC Civil Services 2016 e-Summon letter carries the name and details of the personality test. Candidates are required to download it from the website and check it for all the relevant details.

It is estimated that around 12,000-15,000 aspirants appear in the UPSC examination every year. The Commission uploads the mark sheet of the unqualified candidates within 15 days from the declaration of the result. The mark sheet remains available on the website of UPSC for 60 days.

How to download the UPSC Civil Services 2016 e-Summon Letter

UPSC Civil Services 2016 e-Summon Letter for the Personality test is meant for only those candidates who have qualified the Civil Services (Mains) Examination 2016. It is available on the official website of UPSC and candidates are required to download it by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Go to the official website of UPSC i.e.
  • Click on the link under the “What’s New” section on the Homepage that says “Civil Service 2016 e-Summon letter”.
  • It will navigate to a new page with a link “Click Here”, click on it.
  • A new page will appear where you have to enter “Roll No.” and 4-digit “Captcha code”.
  • Click on “Next” button.
  • Download and then take a print out of the e-Summon 2016 letter for the personality test.

Details mentioned in the Admit Card

The UPSC e-Summon letter 2017 carries information pertaining to the test, center, candidate’s details, etc. After downloading the e-Summon letter 2017 candidates shall check and verify the information mentioned on the UPSC e-Summon letter.  The admit card of the UPSC Personality test carries the following details.

  • Name of the candidate
  • Candidate’s Photograph
  • Candidate’s Signature
  • Address of the examination Center
  • Test Date
  • Test Time

Discrepancies in the eSummon Letter

Candidates are advised to verify all the details mentioned in Civil Services Admit Card. The information should match the details provided during Registration for the said vacancies. Any mismatch or deviation from the the provided information would result in cancellation of candidature.

However in case of any error or misspellings, candidates are required to report the concerned authorities at their earliest.

Instruction for Test Day

It is mandatory for all the candidates to practice few set of instructions formulated for the Personality Test day. It will help them to easily complete the test process without any inconvenience.

  • Check and bring along all the photocopy and original copy of all the necessary documents and certificates pertaining to their age, education, community, physical disability, etc.
  • Do not forget to carry the e-summon letter 2017 to the Personality Test.
  • It is mandatory that the candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria before appearing for the personality test.
  • Reach the Test center 30 minutes before the commencement of the test.
