SSC CHSL 2015: Result to be announced on Jaunary 02, 2017

The Staff Selection Commission will announce the result for tier 2 examination of SSC CHSL 2015 on or after January 02, 2017. The Exam was conducted on September 18, 2016. Final Merit list will be published post the result declaration. The final merit list will be based on the candidates’ performance in tier 1 (Computer Based Test), tier 2 (Descriptive Test), and tier 3 (Skill/Typing Test) exam.

The SSC CHSL examination is conducted by SSC to recruit candidates for the vacant posts of Data Entry Operator (DEO), Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, and Court Clerk. The selection is based on candidate’s performance in the three tier exam system. Candidate has to clear the cutoff for each level to move on to the next level.


How to Check SSC CHSL 2015 Result

SSC will announce the result on the official website. The successful candidates of tier 2 will be shortlisted for tier 3. The result will be available on ssc.nic.in under the results section. The mentioned steps should be followed to download the result.

  • Visit the official SSC website www.ssc.nic.in
  • Click on the ‘Results’ tab
  • Click on the ‘CHSL’ tab
  • Click on the provided link to check the SSC CHSL Result
  • A PDF file would open, containing the result of all the candidates
  • Candidates can then search for their roll numbers to get their SSC CHSL result.

SSC CHSL 2015 Expected Cutoff

The cutoff for CHSL tier 2 examination is set by SSC. Candidates have to score at least equal to the set cut off in order to be considered for qualifying to the next round. The CHSL LDC, DEO recruitment released an official notice mentioning the set cut off to be 33%.

SSC CHSL Selection Process

The selection process for SSC CHSL is divided into three steps. Before the candidates are recruited for the various positions, they have to clear each step of the 3 tier system.

The first step is to clear the SSC CHSL Tier 1 examination, which is a Computer Based Test.The Tier 2 is a Descriptive test which conducted as a qualifying test for the tier 3 exam. Tier 3 exam is a Skill Test/Typing Test. For each step of the 3 tier system, the candidates have to clear the minimum cutoff to move on to the next round.

The final selection of the candidates is based on the merit list generated on the basis of the their performances in the 3 tests. The candidates are required to get their original certificates for verification. The following are the certificates the candidates have to get verified:

  • Qualification Certificates
  • Proof of Identity (Pan Card, Aadhar Card, Voter ID etc.)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Passport Size Photographs
  • Category Certificate for the Reserved Category Candidates
  • Proof of Residence

SSC CHSL 2016 Latest Updates

The application process for SSC CHSL 2016 concluded on November 25, 2016. The tier 1 examination will be conducted on multiple dates starting form January 7 to February 5, 2017. SSC approved some age relaxations from this year. Initially, candidates who met the age criteria as on January 1 were deemed eligible for SSC CHSL exam. The Commission has now allowed the candidates who meet the age criteria as on August 1, 2016 to appear for the exam. Given below are some of the details regarding the SSC CHSL 2016.

  • Start of application fee payment: October 8, 2016
  • Last date to apply: November 25, 2016 till 5 pm
  • Date of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I): January 7, 2017 and February 5, 2017
  • Date of Tier-II (Descriptive Paper): April 9, 2017
  • Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant: 3281 vacancies
  • LDC: 1321 vacancies
  • DEO: 506 vacancies
  • Court Clerk: 26 vacancies
