IBPS Clerk-VI 2017 Exam pattern

IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) is conducted for selection of Clerical Cadre in various participating public sector banks. The IBPS Clerk-VI exam is a national level examination which is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS). It is a 2-tier entrance examination i.e. Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. The IBPS Clerk Application Process is a one-time online process to apply for the examination.

The IBPS Clerk exam is a two-stage entrance test for recruitment as a Clerical Cadre namely, Preliminary examination and Main examination. There are objective type questions in English and Hindi for each stage of the examination. The reserved category candidates (SC/ST/Minority Communities/PWD) will be provided by a pre-exam training by IBPS. It is a free of cost training programme for those candidates who could not afford private coaching institutes.

Negative marking prevails in both the IBPS Clerk-VI Preliminary and Main Examination. Applicants are awarded 1 mark for every correct answer, however, ¼ mark is deducted for wrong answer.  In case of non-attempted question, no marks are awarded. Before submitting, the candidates are required to save their answers for post checking.

The Preliminary Examination pattern of IBPS Clerk-VI comprises of 100 multiple choice questions in total to be completed in 1 hour i.e. 60 minutes. The medium of IBPS Examination for English language is English, however, it is English and Hindi for the other two sections. The candidates who qualify the IBPS Clerk-VI Preliminary exam is eligible to appear for the IBPS Clerk-VI Main examination. There will be 200 questions in total with a framed time allotted for each test. Importance of IBPS Clerk-VI Each Section

English language: Banking is one field in which most people are attracted to, thus English has its importance. In almost every field English is becoming necessary.

Reasoning: This section plays very crucial role in judging the mental strength of the aspirants.

Quantitative aptitude: It’s all about numbers and data crunching. It plays a vital role in knowing the calculative speed of an aspirants.

General awareness: This section is being asked to see the candidate’s knowledge of the current happenings in the country.

Computer knowledge: In India, almost all public and private sector banks have networked their branches by computers with the aim of serving the faster & efficient services to common people. This is the reason the section is being asked.

IBPS Clerk-VI Cut-off Score

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered for further process. depending on number of the State/ UT wise vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be considered for provisional allotment. Prior to the completion of provisional allotment process scores obtained in the Online Main Examination will not be shared with the candidates.
