NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
State Bank of India (SBI) has released notice for recruitment of grade II, III, and IV Specialist Officers (SO). The SO vacancies in this cycle include Chief Manager (Risk), Manager (Statistician), Chief Manager (Forex), and Deputy Manager (Interest Rate Market). The vacancies are mainly for Mumbai Center of the bank.
The application process started on December 29, 2016 and will continue till January 13, 2017. Application form can be accessed through the Career link on the bank’s official website. The last date to send print out of application form along with requisite documents is January 20, 2017.
The selection will be made on the basis of an interview. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their academic qualification, experience and their suitability for the job responsibilities. SBI will draw a merit list on the basis of marks scored in interview only.

The current cycle of SBI SO recruitment is for grade II, III, and IV posts for Mumbai center of the bank. The post-wise vacancy detail is given below:

The eligibility requirement for the different posts listed in this cycle of recruitment is different. Apart from the necessary academic qualification, candidates also need to have relevant experience. The eligibility for each post is given below:

Candidates belonging to Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribe categories will be given a relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit. Candidates in OBC (non-creamy layer) will be given a relaxation of 3 years in upper age limit.

The application fee is 600 INR for General and OBC candidates and 100 INR for SC/ST/PWD candidates. The application fee can be paid on the official website itself by a valid credit or debit card or via Internet Banking. After successful submission of application fee, you will receive an e-receipt and application form with the date which should be printed and sent to the following address on or before January 20, 2017:

The selection for the posts mentioned above will be through an interview. Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of educational qualification, work experience, and their suitability for the job. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
Based on marks scored in interview, SBI will prepare a merit list in descending order. The cut off marks will be decided by the Bank. In case of two candidates scoring same marks, preference will be given to candidates older in age.
