NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
State Bank of India has invited applications for the posts of Specialist Officers at their eminent firm. For the SO Cadre post, Indian candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can register themselves at the SBI Official Website. The tentative date of SBI SO exam, which will be held online is November 25, 2016. A total number of 476 vacancies are announced by SBI for regular and contractual positions. Interested Candidates can start applying online as the SBI SO application process has already been started from October 4, 2016. Banking aspirants can apply till October 22, 2016 as it is the last date for submission of applications.
Know About SBI SO Eligibility
The Application form for SBI SO can be accessed from the official website of State Bank of India. The closing dates for SBI SO Registration would vary depending on the posts for which the candidates are applying. All the applications would be screened on the basis of their work experience and educational qualification. The shortlisted candidates would be then called for the SBI SO Selection Process. The selection process consists of only personal interview. The interviews for various posts is expected to take place in the month of August-September. The final merit list would be released for all the successful candidates on the basis of SBI SO cutoff as stipulated by the State Bank of India.
The performance of the selected candidate in the personal interview are the basis for the selection of the candidates for the vacant posts in SBI. Number of candidates decided by the bank would be shortlisted based on their educational qualification, experience and their performance in interview. The SBI Selection Process for Specialist Officer is a two level Process, starting with the written exam that is scheduled to be conducted on Nov 25, 2016 followed by Group Discussion/Personal Interview of the shortlisted candidates after the SBI SO Result of Written Exam is announced.
Aspirants should score the minimum qualifying marks in order get shortlisted in the interview. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview is decided by the bank. Candidates would be shortlisted for the post on the basis of their ranking in the merit list. SBI SO merit list is prepared in descending order on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidate in the interview.

Selection Process for Contractual Posts: The selection for this post is done by shortlisting and interview. Candidates who apply for contractual posts are advised to send the computer generated hard copy of application, which should be duly signed and pasted with their recent photographs along with relevant documents to below mentioned address:

The selection procedure for SBI SO exam is based on two steps:
Candidate should be well prepared for the interview session. The questions are generally asked from last month current affairs and your subjective knowledge on DBMS, networking and operating system. Also, candidate are suggested to go through about information on SBI, because basic questions are also asked about SBI.
Please Note: In case the applications are less, the bank reserves the right to complete the selection through shortlisting and interview instead of through test and interview.
Candidates are advised to study in accordance to the exam pattern as covering the topics mentioned below will give an edge to the candidate over other aspirants. There will be four sections in total for the written examination. The sections will Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Professional language. Reasoning and professional language will carry 50 marks and 100 marks respectively, whereas Quant and English section will carry 35 marks each. Candidate will be allotted 90 minutes duration for attempting reasoning, quant and English section and for attempting Professional language 45 minutes will be allotted. SBI SO results would be declared only on official website of State Bank of India. SBI SO Result would be displayed in pdf format. SBI specialist officer result is declared depending upon the candidate has applied for. Candidates who have successfully cleared the interview rounds, can check their SBI specialist officer result. Results can be checked by verifying their SBI specialist officer registration number.
The SBI SO Results are tentatively declared after 10 days of SBI SO Personal Interview. Candidates are appointed as Specialist Officer in State Bank of India only on the basis of SBI SO Final Result. A candidate can check his/her SBI SO 2016 Result only online as no offline way is adopted to announce the SBI SO Results
