UPSC IAS Mains 2016 Result to be announced soon at upsc.gov.in

Union Public Service Commission is expected to publish the result of Mains Exam of Civil Services conducted in the month of December, 2016. The Result will be published at upsc.gov.in before January 15, 2017. The Result will be published in form of score card comprising marks scored by the candidates in all the papers of CS Mains.

The Candidates scoring marks above than the mentioned cut-off are recommended for Interview Round of UPSC Civil Services. The Cut-off is decided by the commission considering various factors such as average marks scored in CS Mains, Normalized Scores, Vacant Positions and number of test takers.

The next round of Selection Process consists of Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview of all the shortlisted candidates.

How To Check UPSC CS Mains Result?

The Result of UPSC CS (Mains) 2016 will be published at the official website. Candidates can check their scores and download their score cards using Registration/Roll Number and date of birth as password. Following Steps should be followed to check UPSC CS (Mains) 2016 Result.

  • Go to upsc.gov.in
  • Click on ‘Whats’ New’
  • Click on ‘Written Result: UPSC CS (Mains) 2016’
  • Enter Registration/Roll Number
  • Check Your Score
  • Download and save your UPSC CS (Mains) Result
  • Obtain Hard Copy for future Purposes

The UPSC IAS Result consists of marks scored by the candidate in each paper. There is no sectional cut-off in IAS Mains. The Score card of UPSC CS(Mains) Result consists of the following details.

UPSC CS Interview

Personality Test is the final level of selection process for UPSC Civil Services. All the shortlisted candidates of UPSC IAS Mains are called for Interview Round also knows as Personality Test. According to UPSC, the mains objective of the interview is to assess the personal suitability of the applicant for a career in public service. The Interview panel consists of board of competent and unbiased observers.  The Test is intended to judge the caliber of candidates as required by the public service industry.

The schedule of Interview test will be declared soon after the announcement of UPSC CS (Mains) Result.
