AP PGECET Cut Off 2017

AP PGECET Cut Off 2017 is the minimum marks which is required by a candidate to be eligible for admission to M.E., M.Tech. and M.Pharma courses offered at universities in Andhra Pradesh. AP PGECET Cut Off will be determined individually for each specialization. It will also be fixed separately for GATE and AP PGECET qualifiers. Read the article below to check AP PGECET 2017 Cut off. It is clearly mentioned in the information brochure that to qualify AP PGECET 2017, candidates will have to secure at least 25% marks. PGECET is a 120 marks paper. Hence, the minimum qualifying mark for the exam is 30. Check the table below to understand AP PGECET 2017 Cut off easily.

Candidates who will score more than the cut off, will be called for counselling. However, it should be noted that surpassing the cut off does not guarantee admission. The seats to the candidates will be allocated on the basis of rank secured by them.

Factors Affecting AP PGECET Cut Off 2017

There are various factors that affect the Cut off. The qualifying marks of the last candidate may be depended on these factors. We have listed some of these factors that affect the cut off marks-

  • Total number of seats offered – More the seats available, lower would be the cut off for the particular institute.
  • Number of students appearing for the exam. This is directly related to the cut off. Higher the number of candidates appearing for the exam, higher will be the cut off.
  • Difficulty level of exam – This factor is inversely related. Whenever the exams are on the difficult side, the cut offs tend to fall.
  • Previous years cut off trends- This is more for the predictive analysis. This can help candidates understand what to expect for cut off for their preferred institutes.
  • Previous year admission trends – This is more or less like the previous one and is generally used for predictions.
  • Average performance of the candidate in the exam
  • Lowest and average marks scored in the exam
  • Reservation rules/policy – Higher the reservation for a particular section, higher would be the cut off for other categories.
  • Marking scheme including negative marking

AP PGECET 2017 Result

AP PGECET 2017 results will be declared on the official website i.e. Only those candidates who appeared for AP PGECET 2017 are able to view their results. Login credentials are required in order to check the results.

Andhra University will release the results in June 2017 (tentatively). AP PGECET 2017 Result will be announced in the form of total marks obtained by the candidate and the rank achieved. The steps to view the result are given below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of AP PGECET 2017-

Step 2: Enter the AP PGECET 2017 Hall Ticket number and click on submit.

Step 3: The candidate will be able to view the percentile and rank obtained along with the qualifying status.

Step 4: Download the AP PGECET 2017 Rank Card. AP PGECET Rank Card 2017 will be available post the Result declaration.

Note: GATE or GPAT students do not need to take the entrance exam and hence, will not be able to view their results. It may be noted that GATE / GPAT students will be given preference over the AP PGECET 2017 candidates.
