STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET 2017) is going on from May 10, 2017, to May 12, 2017. The exam is held every year by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admissions into M.tech and M.Pharma courses offered by various colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Those of you who have taken the AP PGECET 2017 for admission in M.Tech (in Bio-Tech) program might be now looking for the answer key. The answer key would be released on the official website of the JNTU within one month of the conclusion of the exam. However, non-official answer keys would be released by various coaching institutes on the day of the exam itself (by afternoon). Candidates can refer to this answer keys for analyzing their performance.
Once the answer key gets released on the official website candidates would be able to download it. The answer key would be released separately for all the courses. The answer key would help the candidates in getting a rough idea about how much mark they are going to secure. The answer key can be utilized by the candidates in following ways
Candidates can challenge the answer key in case of any discrepancy. The time window for challenging the answer would be notified by the JNTU on its official website. The challenges against answer key will be referred to the exam board committees constituted by Andhra University.
Candidates can download the official answer key from the conducting authority’s website with the help of following steps.
The AP PGECE 2017 exam question paper would be made available on the official website after the completion of exam. The AP PGECET 2017 exam paper comprised of 120 questions of one mark each. The total time allotted for the exam was 120 minutes (2 hours). The level of exam was on similar lines with that of the previous year. Majority of the questions were covered by the following topics
Questions from general aptitude and engineering mathematics also covered certain portion of the exam and were of moderate to easy level. Candidates who have been preparing for the exam from quite some time would have found the manageable.
As per the official notification on JNTU’s website the qualifying percentage for obtaining a rank in AP PGECET 2017 is 25% of the total marks that is 30 marks out of a total of 120. However, it shall be noted that there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.
Apart from this a separate cut-off will be fixed for candidates applying through GATE. The cut offs would be determined individually for each specialization and would be uploaded on the official website. The details related to cut off is tabled below for your reference.

Candidates who will secure more than AP PGECET Cut off 2017 would be called for counselling. However, it shall be noted that surpassing the cut off does not guarantee admission. The seats to the candidates would be allocated on the basis of rank secured by them and the decision of conducting authority would be final in this regard.
