NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST

VIMSAR, Burla Cut Off for NEET 2017

Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla offers undergraduate, postgraduate and paramedical courses in the field of medicine.

  • Admissions to MBBS course offered by this college are made purely on the basis of NEET.
  • NEET is an offline entrance test conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) every year to grant admission to Medical Colleges recognized by MCI.
  • No other state or institutional level exam will be conducted.
  • Students striving to take admission to MBBS/BDS course in 2017-18 academic session must qualify NEET.
  • This year the exam was conducted on May 07, 2017.
  • NEET Result was announced on June 23, 2017.
  • After the successful declaration of the result, MCC conducted counselling in two rounds and alloted the seats on the basis of the rank and thereby, release the cut off.

VIMSAR, Burla NEET 2017 Cut Off

CBSE has released the cut off of NEET 2017 along with the result on June 23, 2017. NEET Cut Off is the minimum qualifying marks set by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to shortlist candidates for the counselling rounds. NEET cut off has been prepared depending upon many factors such as the number of candidates appeared for exam, difficulty level of paper, availability of seats in MBBS course, etc.

How to Get Admission in VIMSAR, Burla?

Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla was established in the year 1959. The college was formerly known as V.S.S. Medical College and Hospital. The college is offering undergraduate, postgraduate and paramedical courses under the affiliation of Sambalpur University. The course structure for MBBS course is as per the guidelines of MCI and admissions are made after successful conduction of the counselling.

VIMSAR Burla Admission Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian Citizen or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2017. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years. There is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Essential Academic Qualification: Candidates passing the HSC or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects securing a minimum of 50%. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) candidates, there is a relaxation of 10%. Physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. Aspirants who have appeared for 10+2 examination in 2017 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

In case of a tie between two or more applicants, preference will be given to

  • Candidate having higher marks in Biology.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry.
  • Candidate older in age.

Candidates having their names in the merit list will be offered admission. Successful students have to carry one photocopy of following certificates along with the originals on the notified date.

  • HSC Mark Sheet and passing certificate
  • NEET 2017 Admit Card
  • NEET 2017 Rank Letter
  • Seat Allotment Letter
  • Conduct Certificate
  • Relieving Letter (if applicable)
  • Medical Fitness Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • PH Certificate (if applicable)
  • Two passport size photographs
  • Demand Draft of ₹30,000/- *

*Admission fee of ₹30,000/- should be paid in the form of Demand Draft in favor of Dean & Principal, VSS Medical College, Burla, Payable at SBI Burla (SBIN-0002034).

Hi Manish, The NEET Entrance Exam is a national level entrance test for MBBS/BDS admissions after class 12. if you want to get admission in best college for MBBS, you need to appear for this exam and Admission to medical courses will now be done through NEET, as directed by the Supreme Court.
