How to Get Admission in Shri Vasantrao Naik GMC, Yavatmal?

Shri Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College, Yavatmal was started by Government of Maharashtra in the year 1989 with an annual intake capacity of 50 students. Now, the college grants 150 MBBS degrees to students every year. The college imparts education under the affiliation of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.

Shri Vasantrao Naik GMC Yavatmal Admission Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian Citizen or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2017. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years. There is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Essential Academic Qualification: Candidates passing the HSC or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects securing a minimum of 50%. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) candidates, there is a relaxation of 10%. Physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. Aspirants who have appeared for 10+2 examination in 2017 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

In case of a tie between two or more applicants, preference will be given to

  • Candidate having higher marks in Biology.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry.
  • Candidate older in age.

Candidates having their names in the merit list will be offered admission. Successful students should refer the official website before visiting the college campus. The candidate is advised to download the prescribed formats and duly fill them along with two photocopies of all the documents mentioned on the official website.

Hi Uddhav, No, he is not eligible for the BVSc program because the basic Eligibility of BVSc is The basic eligibility for this course is 10 2 with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% in aggregate from CBSE/ICSE/State Board or equivalent. Students who have appeared in 10 2 or any other intermediate level examination and are awaiting results can also apply for the program and can be admitted on a provisional basis.
