NEET 2018 NEWS
NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
NEET Exam, conducted by CBSE was introduced in lieu of the various state level and national level medical entrance exams in the year 2013. It will be conducted for MBBS/BDS courses in this year as well.
Candidates who applied for the medical entrance exam from 2006-2012, gave AIPMT. NEET was initially introduced in 2013, however, it was replaced by AIPMT again. It was conducted again in 2016. It has been officially approved that NEET will be conducted for admission to all MBBS and BDS courses.
The number of questions and the difficulty level varies for every section. The article provides you with the analysis of physics questions from each topic every year.
Candidates preparing for NEET always need an easy escape for the exam preparation specially the Physics section. As per the analysis of 10 years, the important topics with the maximum number of questions are Current Electricity (47 questions) followed by Semi-conductors (41 questions). The other important topics are Dual nature of matter, laws of motion and rotational motion.
Candidates can prepare for these topics by solving the online mock tests and study material. Also candidates must follow all the important books to prepare for various questions from various chapters. The graph below gives the total number of physics questions asked in NEET from 10 years:
Candidates are questioned from chapters and topics studied in class XI and XII. The physics topics included in Class XI, as per the analysis, have lesser weightage than the topics of Class XII. Candidates must thus, concentrate more on the topics and concepts of chapters included in the Class XII syllabus of CBSE. The high order thinking skills questions have also been analyzed to be more in case of Class XII chapters. However, difficult conceptual questions are asked from topics of Class XI. The graphs given below give the percentage wise distribution of questions asked from topics studied in class XI and XII:
Check NEET Preparation
As per the analysis of the medical examinations conducted in the last 10 years, the maximum number of questions are asked from Current Electricity and Semi- Conductors. Candidates must prepare these topics properly. The various conceptual and numerical questions are asked from these topics. The important topics and number of questions asked from the same are given below:
|Topics||Number of Questions in 10 years|
|Laws of Motion||34|
|System of Particles and Rotational Motion||33|
|Dual Nature of Matter||33|
|Moving Charges and Magnetism||30|
As per the analysis, the number of questions decreased per year but the level of difficulty increased with the decrease in the number of questions. The questions asked are based on the various basic formulae and rules of transfer of current. The graph below gives the number of questions from this topic in the last 10 years:
There are a large number of conceptual questions from this topic in the NEET exam. Candidates must have complete knowledge of the basic concepts of this chapter to score well from this section. The preparation of this topic must include study of various reasoning questions than numerical questions. Study the graph given below to know the number of questions asked from this chapter over 10 years:
It is another important topic in Physics paper of NEET. A large number of conceptual questions are asked from the laws of motion. As per the analysis, the questions from this topic are of medium difficulty. The number of questions remain constant through the year i.e. there is no such trend of decrease or increase in number of questions from this topic. Consider the graph given for exact information about the number of questions per year:
The analysis of 10 years infers that these two topics mostly have similar weightage or number of questions in Physics section of NEET. There have been a total of 33 questions from each chapter in the exam. The questions asked can be conceptual or numerical both. Last year, the number of questions from rotational motion were more in comparison to dual nature of matter while the difficulty level was similar. The graph below gives the analysis of number of questions in the past 10 years from these chapters:
The number of questions from these chapters have also been analyzed to be same over 10 years. Candidates have to again study and prepare all important concepts from these chapters and revise the formulae. The questions asked are of medium difficulty or sometimes easy. The number of questions from these chapters in the past 10 years are given below:
