How to Get Admission in Pt. B.D. Sharma PGIMS Rohtak?

Admission to UG Courses namely MBBS and BDS is done on the basis of rank obtained in NEET UG-2017. All inspiring candidates shall try to secure a rank lower than 400 in NEET 2017.

Candidates have to clear NEET 2017 cutoff for PGIMS.

They have to carry NEET 2017 admit card with original certificates as well as NEET 2017 scorecard at the time of counselling.

If two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the exam, preference will be given to

  • Candidate having higher marks in Biology/Biotechnology in NEET UG-2017.
  • Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry in NEET UG-2017.
  • Candidate older in age.

PGIMS Admission Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to grab a seat in one of the topmost leading institutions of India, one should fulfill the mentioned criteria.

  • Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian Citizen or Overseas Citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2017. The upper age limit for admission seekers under All India Quota is 25 years relaxable for a period of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Essential Academic Qualification: Candidates who have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology individually securing a minimum of 50% in 10+2 is eligible. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10% so they have to secure a minimum of 40% to be eligible. General physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. Aspirants who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2017 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

PGIMS was started as a guest institute in 1960 at Medical College, Patiala. It was then shifted to Rohtak in 1963. Sharma, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak.

The institute offers 200 seats to MBBS aspirants and 60 seats to BDS aspirants. The admission to this college is totally based on the merit list of NEET UG-2017.
