NEET 2017 Answer Key by Career Point

NEET 2017 was conducted on May 07, 2017. The difficulty level of the paper ranged from moderate to difficult. NEET 2017 Answer Key was released by reputed coaching institute Career Point so that test takers could evaluate their performance in the exam. Candidates can download all sets i.e. A/PW, B/Q/X, C/R/Y, D/S/Z of question booklet from the table given on this page. They can tally their own responses with the correct answers and evaluate their probable score out of 720.

NEET 2018 will be conducted on May 6, 2018 for admission into undergraduate medical and dental courses. To prepare well, candidates must solve the previous year’s question to get a hold on the type of questions asked in the exam. 

With the help of the NEET answer key, students will be able to calculate their NEET score prior to the declaration of result. The official NEET 2018 answer key will be released by CBSE in second week of May. Candidates will also be able to challenge the answer key released by CBSE.

NEET Paper Analysis 2017

Physics section emerged as the toughest one followed by Chemistry and Biology (Botany + Zoology). Overall, the paper was moderately tough and evenly balanced syllabus wise. However, it can be safely said that this paper was tougher than its predecessor, and certainly not a cakewalk. 

  • Mechanical properties of solids & fluids covered a major chink of this section. Maximum number of questions were asked from Mechanics followed by Electrodynamics, and Modern & Electronics. 40% of the questions were tough, 40% were of medium difficulty level and the remaining 20% were easy. Also, many questions were repeated from previous years’ papers.
  • As compared to the previous year, the chemistry paper in NEET paper was comparatively easy. Class XII syllabus dominated this section. Maximum number of questions were asked from Organic Chemistry prescribed for class 12. Class XI syllabus comprised one-third of the total number of questions.
  • Biology for NEET is a combination of Zoology & Botany. The difficulty level of questions in this section was moderate. Equal weightage was given to the syllabus of class XI and class XII. Topics like Genetics and Bio-Tech, Ecology, Human Physiology had the maximum number of questions. This section was the easiest in comparison to Physics and Chemistry.

NEET 2018 Answer Key by CBSE

CBSE, the exam conducting body of NEET 2018, will announce the result in June for those candidates who meet the cutoff declared for their respective categories. But before that, they will be able to access and download the OMR Answer Sheet in the last week of May (tentative).

How to Download NEET Answer Key 2018?

Candidates have to go through the following steps to download the NEET Answer Key 2018:

  1. Visit the official link (link will be provided above).
  2. Click on the link for “NEET 2018 Answer Key”.
  3. The answer key of all sets will appear on the screen.
  4. Download it and compare the responses with the answer key.
  5. Don’t forget to take a printout of the answer key for further use.

With the display of answer key, CBSE will also provide a window to challenge the answer key. Students who are dissatisfied with the answer key can challenge the same on a payment of INR 1000 per answer. The fee will be refunded in case the challenge is accepted by the board. Please note that you can challenge the Answer Key only within the stipulated time frame. The steps for answer key challenge is shown below.

Steps to Challenge NEET Answer Key 2018

  • Go to Candidate Login and enter NEET 2018 Registration number and Password
  • Click on ‘Answer Key Challenge’ tab and select answer booklet code
  • Select the question for challenge and then click on submit button
  • Select your answer and give comments/justifications for answer
  • Click on ‘Confirm’ tab and pay requisite fee for challenging the answer key
  • Pay the fee using Debit/Credit Card. Candidates have to pay INR 1000 for each answer key which is challenged.
  • Then take the printout of Confirmation Slip showing detail of answer key challenged.

NEET Question Paper 2017

Last year there were 12 sets, such that groups of 3 question papers were same (Set no.1 ==Set no.5 == Set no.9, and so on). Therefore, there were total 4 answer keys, each corresponding to 1 group.

  • NEET Question Paper 2017 contained 180 multiple choice questions in total, on physics, chemistry, biology.
  • 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark will be decuted for every incorrect answer.
  • There will be as many sets of NEET 2017 Answer Key as there are question paper sets.

    NEET Marking Scheme

    For each correct Answer in NEET 2018+ 4 Marks
    For each incorrect Answer in NEET 2018-1 Mark
    NEET Score out of 720{Total number of correct answer x 4 – Total number of incorrect response x 1}

    NEET Qualifying Marks 2018

    The minimum score scored by test takers to pass NEET 2018 is the qualifying marks. Thus, the NEET cut off 2018 for general category candidate is 50th percentile, while for OBC category it is 40th percentile.

    NEET Cutoff 2018 (Expected)

    NEET 2018 Cutoff will be published in the month of June after declaration of results. The list consists of All India category wise ranks of qualified candidates. All the participating states will then prepare their merit list for counselling procedure. Candidates can check the previous years’ cutoff trends for top medical colleges.

    Hi Uddhav, No, he is not eligible for the BVSc program because the basic Eligibility of BVSc is The basic eligibility for this course is 10 2 with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% in aggregate from CBSE/ICSE/State Board or equivalent. Students who have appeared in 10 2 or any other intermediate level examination and are awaiting results can also apply for the program and can be admitted on a provisional basis.
