NEET 2019 Result

NEET 2019 Result will probably be out in the first week of June 2019. The results for this medical entrance exam will be declared on the official website of CBSE or NBE.

  • Candidates can check the results via online mode only. No results will be sent via post or other offline mediums.
  • The results will be put in the form of NEET Scorecard in which candidates will find their percentile and All India Rank (AIR).
  • The AIR is decided on the basis of common cut off decided by CBSE.
  • Details present in NEET 2019 include, Candidate’s name, Roll Number, Percentile, Section-wise marks, Qualifying Marks, Total Marks, All India Ranking, etc.
  • After the declaration of NEET 2019 Result, Cut Off will be declared separately categorized under All India Rank and State-wise Ranks.
  • Those who qualify NEET Cut Off will be called for counselling process by respective colleges.

NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) is the single medical entrance exam all over India for admission of students into medical and dental colleges, who aspires to study medicines and be a doctor.


NEET 2019 Result Dates

There are certain important dates for NEET 2019 Result which students need to keep a track on, so that they do not miss out on anything. The tentative important schedule is mentioned below:

How to Check NEET 2019 Result?

NEET 2019 Result is announced online. It will be available tentatively in Last week of June 2019. Those who have appeared for this examination can access their respective result by performing the following steps:

  • Go the official website of CBSE.
  • Find ‘NEET- UG Result’ tab at the top left section of webpage.
  • Click on it and you will be redirected to a new page.
  • Here, enter your details such as Roll Number and Date of Birth.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ tab and your result will be displayed on the computer screen.
  • Do take a print out and keep it safely for future reference.

Also, it is important for candidates to understand that they must not panic if the CBSE website doesn’t work correctly or pops up an error while checking with their results on the examination result date as there will be a lot of other candidates too, trying to reach out to their respective results simultaneously due to which there will be tremendous load on the website’s server. However, they would be able to access it after 3-4 hours easily.


Details on NEET 2019 Scorecard

NEET 2019 scorecard is one of the important document which is issued by CBSE on its official website. It is required by candidates to get admissions in any of the medical colleges across India as instructed by the Government of India. Without the possession of NEET 2019 scorecard, they shall not be permitted to attend the counselling sessions.

It is highly recommended to keep a print copy of the same safely and carry it along till they get admissions in the desired medical college.

There are various academic as well as personal details mentioned on NEET 2019 scorecard which is listed below:

  • NEET 2019 Application Number
  • Nationality
  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Mother’s Name
  • Father’s Name
  • Category of the applicant
  • Sectional-wise marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • Total Marks
  • Percentile Score
  • Rank- All India Rank, All India Quota seat rank and State Quota rank
  • Qualifying Status
  • NEET Cut Off score for counselling under All India Seats 2019

It is mandatory for students to carry their NEET 2019 scorecard along with a valid government ID proof be it PAN card, driving license, Voter ID, Passport or Aadhar card at the given venue for counselling. They shall not be allowed in the allotted centers without submitting the above-mentioned documents


Normalization of NEET 2019 Scores

Normalization of NEET 2019 score defines the minimum percentile needed by applicants to get considered for admissions in desired medical college for under-graduation or post-graduation. Total number of questions asked in the examination are 180 for which the total marks are 720 which needs to be answered in 3 hours.

Candidate’s percentile is calculated by the CBSE and NBE authorities for under-graduation and post-graduation medical admissions, which is solely based on the total marks scored in the examination. The basic tentative percentile needed to qualify category-wise is tabulated below:

Students must check on the official site of CBSE or NBE time and again to get updated with the latest figure.

The marking scheme in NEET 2019, to calculate marks and percentile is bulleted below:

  • Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer
  • One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer
  • There will be negative marking if multiple answers are marked.

NEET 2019 Merit List

NEET 2019 Merit List will be released by CBSE. It will be a centralized merit list only, which is based on student’s performance, score in the examination, student’s category and All India Rank. The list is released online, on CBSE’s official website after the results are out.

Each state will release its separate merit list for each category in particular. Those who manage to qualify NEET will be called further for counselling and then admissions as per their rank. Students are required to carry the below mentioned important documents to the counselling center listed below:

  • NEET 2019 Admit Card
  • NEET 2019 Score card
  • 10th standard certificate and mark sheets
  • 10+2 standard qualifying certificate including mark sheets.
  • Reserved category certificate (SC/ST/OBC applicants)

Tie Breaker

NEET 2019 is a highly competitive medical examination as it offers all the medical courses including MBBS and BDS across the nation. So, there is always a possibility that marks scored by two or more students tend to be equal and to resolve this tie, we need few tie breakers. All the rules that will be implemented in such situations are mentioned below:

  • Candidates who have scored higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test shall be considered.
  • If still tie persists, candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the examination are preferred.
  • If still there is a tie, candidates who have less number of attempted wrong answers in all the subjects in the examination are considered.
  • Candidates older in age shall be preferred

NEET 2019 Cut Off

NEET 2019 Cut Off marks are defined as the minimum marks which student needs to score to clear the test and to be considered for the counselling. The exam conducting authority is responsible to release the cut off list, along with the results.

Various factors on which NEET 2019 cut off list depends on, includes the following:

  • Availability of seats in different medical colleges
  • Previous year cut off list
  • Number of candidates appearing for NEET 2019 examination.
  • Difficulty level of the question paper.

The state wise cut off will vary for each category. Top 15% scorers in NEET will be allowed to participate directly in the NEET counselling process under 15% All India Quota.


NEET 2019 Counselling

NEET 2019 counselling will tentatively be held from second week of June 2019 onwards, after the examination results and merit list is announced. There might be multiple counselling sessions depending on the number of students and seats available for under-graduation in affiliated medical colleges.

Students shall be judged on the basis of merit and their ranks announced by the concerned authorities as per the marks they have managed to raise in the examination.

Selected candidates will have to attend the scheduled counselling session in person with the original personal and academic documents as stated by CBSE and NBE. Candidates who have scored marks above cut off 2019 might get selected and if selected, seats will be allotted and hence, fees needs to be deposited as per the college.

Hi Nilesh, You can apply for NEET UG with your Passport Number. And, Yes. Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are Eligible for appearing in the NEET-UG, 2018 and also eligible for seats under 15% All India Quota. Eligibility of OCI candidates for admission under seats in the control of States/Universities/Institutions shall be ascertained before applying for NEET-UG, 2018.
