NEET 2017 Notification Out, Exam to be conducted on May 7

CBSE released NEET 2017 Notification on Jan 31, 2017 at cbseneet.nic.in. Conducted in 10 different languages, the exam will be held on May 7, 2017 for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in Medical Colleges across the nation. Hereafter, NEET is the single medical examination for National Medical Colleges, State medical colleges, deemed medical universities and other institutes offering MBBS/BDS courses.

The NEET Application Form is available in online mode at cbseneet.nic.in. the last date to submit completely filled NEET 2017 Application Form is March 01, 2017. The Application Fee of INR 1400 for general category(INR 750 for SC/ST/OBC candidates) should be paid either through Credit Card/Debit Card/Netbanking or through eChallan at mentioned branches.


NEET 2017 Exam Dates

CBSE is all set to conduct the NEET 2017 Exam on May 07, 2017. The Application Process has already started  on January 31, 2017. Last Date to submit completely filled application at cbseneet.nic.in is March 01, 2017 as mentioned in the table. Candidates are advised to check all the details mentioned in the Admit Card released on April 15, 2017. The Result of the written test will be released on June 08, 2017.

What’s New in NEET 2017?

With the introduction of NEET as the only national level medical entrance exam for admission to All India Seats, State Quota Seats and other Privately funded institutes offering MBBS/BDS Seats to the candidates, it has gone a number of changes. The Changes introduced in NEET 2017 is listed below.

  • Following the decision of Supreme Court in 2016, NEET is now the national level medical entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BBDS Courses on Pan India Basis.
  • The Govt. of India and Medical Council of India (MCI) has now made Aadhar Card as a mandatory photo ID. This is applicable to all Indian Citizens. However, the foreign candidates can apply with their Passport as valid ID Proof.
  • The Eligibility of NEET 2017 has also been reviewed. The lower limit to apply for NEET 2017 is 17 years. The upper age limit for the exam is 25 by December 31, 2017. Candidates from SC/ST/OBC are provided relaxation of 5 years.
  • The Syllabus of NEET has also been updated owing to the change in pattern of 10+2 Syllabus and growing technologies.
  • As now NEET is now a qualifier for admission to medical institutes across the country, it will be now conducted in 10 different languages viz. Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.

NEET 2017 Application Form

The Application Form is available at the NEET 2017 Official website i.e. www.cbseneet.nic.in. The mode of Application is online only and all the applications are to be submitted at the official website. The Application Fee for NEET 2017 is INR 1400 for general candidates and INR 750 for SC/ST/PH candidates. The Application Fee can be paid via Debit/Credit Card/UPI/Net Banking/e-wallet along with Service Tax as applicable by the respective banks.
