NEET 2017 Admit Card to be released today

NEET 2017 Admit Card will be released today, on April 15. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website by providing the registration number and date of birth. NEET 2017 Admit card will NOT be sent by post, courier or any other offline mode. Candidates without the admit card will not be allowed to appear for the examination. NEET 2017 Admit Card will contain information regarding the candidate and exam venue.

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a national level entrance test conducted by CBSE for admission in MBBS/BDS courses. NEET 2017 will be conducted on May 07, 2017 in offline mode. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours and will consist of 180 objective type questions. It is the only national and state entrance exam for MBBS/BDS courses. NEET 2017 has replaced all the state level entrance test for medical courses.

CBSE has indicated that around 11 lakh candidates are appearing for NEET this year. Due to this, 23 new exam centers have been included in exam center list. Since the competition is tough, candidates are advised to also check Exam Pattern of NEET 2017.


How to Download NEET 2017 Admit card

NEET 2017 Admit card is an important document as candidates will have to present the admit Card 2017 at the exam center before the commencement of the test. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination. Admit card can be downloaded from the official website of NEET. Steps to download NEET 2017 Admit card are given below:

  • Visit the official website of NEET – www. cbseneet.nic.in/cbseneet/welcome.aspx
  • Navigate to “2017 Admit Card” link
  • You will be redirected to log in page. Enter your registration number, date of birth, and correct security pin.

  • After successful login, admit card will appear on your screen.
  • Check for any discrepancy and download multiple copies of the admit card for future reference.

Note: Candidates are required to paste a postcard size photograph in the proforma attached with the admit card. The photograph must be of size 4cm X 6cm with a white background. The proforma will be checked by the invigilator to confirm the identity of the candidate. A sample of proforma is given below:

Also, Candidates have to carry a passport sized photograph which will be used to paste on the attendance sheet during the exam.


Discrepancy in NEET Admit Card 2017

In case of any discrepancy or if candidates do not have an internet access, they must visit the nearest CSC (Common Service Center). Candidates have to pay the following amount for different discrepancies:

Details on NEET 2017 Admit Card

NEET 2017 Admit card will contain important information regarding the candidate and examination center. During the examination, invigilator will check the admit card in order to verify the identity of the candidate. Candidates are advised to check the admit card for any discrepancies immediately after downloading it. The admit card will contain the following details:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Father’s name
  • Date and timing of Examination
  • Roll number of the candidate
  • Registration Number
  • Address of the Candidate
  • Category
  • Subcategory (if applicable)
  • Date of birth
  • Candidate’s signature
  • Candidate’s photograph
  • Name and address of examination center allotted to the candidate.
  • Medium of Question Paper

Documents to carry on the day of NEET 2017 Exam

To ensure smooth and transparent conduct of NEET 2017, candidates must bring the following documents along with them:

  • NEET 2017 Admit card
  • Aadhar card
  • Passport size photograph

NEET 2017 Exam day Instructions

  • Electronic devices (mobile phone, calculators, calculator watches etc.) are not allowed inside NEET 2017 Exam Centers.
  • Candidates are advised to reach the exam venue 1 hour before the commencement of the examination. Check the seating arrangement and note down room number allotted.
  • Admit cards along with other documents must be presented before entering the examination hall.
  • No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam venue before the conclusion of exam.
  • Wallets and rough papers are not allowed inside the exam hall. Candidates will be provided with sheets for rough work. 
  • Candidates are advised to bring their own stationary to avoid the possibility of anxiety at the test center during last minutes.
  • Guardians, parents or friends accompanying the candidate won’t be allowed inside the premises of exam center.

NEET 2017 Exam Dates

NEET 2017 Admit Card will be made available on the official website of NEET. Candidates who have successfully registered themselves and are eligible for NEET 2017, can download their NEET Admit Card 2017 from the website from April 15, 2017. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.

NEET 2017 Important highlights

  • CBSE has announced that candidates may attempt NEET Exam only 3 times. NEET 2017 will be counted as first attempt for all the candidates.
  • No other exam except NEET will be held for admissions into MBBS/BDS Courses in India from the year 2017. All seats of any medical/dental college will be filled by the score of NEET 2017 Examination only.
  • Candidates can write NEET 2017 in 10 regional languages including English, Tamil, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Odia, Kannada and Telugu.
  • Candidates must possess Aadhaar card to apply for NEET 2017. At the time of filling the application form, candidates will need to enter Aadhar card details. 
  • CBSE has indicated that more than 11 lakh candidates will appear for NEET 2017. Due to tis, 23 new test centers have been added in the list of exam centers.
