NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
After much debacle on NEET 2016 entrance test row, the results were declared on August 16, 2016. NEET 2016 Results were announced by CBSE on the official website, cbseresults.nic.in. NEET is the national level medical entrance exam where lakhs of students from India compete to get the admission in top notch Medical institutes/colleges.
The total number of applicants for NEET 2016 were 7,32,223out of which, 56% of students appeared for India's first uniform medical entrance exam. The total number of candidates, who qualified the exam are 4,09,477. Among the total number of qualified candidates, girls outnumbered the boys. 2,26,049 girls and 1,83,424 boys are eligible for MBBS admissions. The qualified students are ones who has secured a certain percentile specified by MCI for MBBS admission in different categories.
If we go category wise, following is the breakage of number of candidates who have become eligible for admission to medical undergraduate course.

Nine transgender also gave NEET 2016, out of which four got qualified. One transgender managed to grab the result among top 15 per cent.
The qualifying percentile set by MCI for clearing NEET 2016 entrance exam is as following:

CBSE has announced the name of top rank holders in NEET 2016. Het Shah has secured rank 1 by obtaining 685 marks out of 720. Ekansh Goyal and Nikhil Bajiya have secured second and third rank, respectively.
Candidates who appeared for either Phase 1 or Phase 2 of the NEET exam can check their results by entering the login details on the official website: cbseresults.nic.in. Or they can also check their results by visiting 'Digilocker'(results.digilocker.gov.in) - a mobile friendly website initiated by C.B.S.E

After the results, the next step will take an aspirant to NEET 2016 counselling process. The candidates are required to be in touch with respective counselling authorities. A merit list will be prepared by C.B.S.E on the basis of All India Rank for admission to MBBS and BDS courses.
The All India Quota Rank is the rank for allotting the seats of All India Quota, after excluding candidates from Andhra Pradesh (AP) and Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). According to the guidelines of the Honorable Supreme Court, the aspirants from AP and J&K are not eligible to take part for 15 % All India Quota Counselling.
