NEET 2016 Exam Center Guidelines

NEET 2016 is a national level examination is the Common Entrance Test for the admission to MBBS Course across the country. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test consists of two stages NEET – 2 will be conducted on July 24 2016. The duration of NEET – 2 2016 will be 3 hours. The NEET 2016 will be conducted in the test centers preferred by the candidates. Candidate must select three codes to choose three cities as the preference for the test centers. If a lesser number of candidates prefer for a specific city, boards holds the right to not to fix that city as a center for the exam. They have to provide these details while filling up the application for NEET 2016 Phase-2 exam.


NEET 2016 Exam Centers will be allotted by the computer. There is no human intervention involved in this process. Once the exam center is allotted to the candidates, it cannot be changed at any stage and under no circumstance. There shall be no changes made in this regard. There are some guidelines prescribed by the NEET 2016 Office for the candidates appearing for NEET 2016. These are regarding the NEET 2016 Exam Centers.

1. Barred Items

The candidates, for a smooth conduct of the examination, must follow all the guidelines mentioned by the NEET 2016 Office. The candidates are not allowed to carry the following items in the examination all. Following are the NEET 2016 Exam Center Guidelines:

  • The candidates cannot take along any stationery products like pen, bits of paper, log table, scale, calculator, writing pad, eraser, pen drive, pencil box/pouch, any kind of textual material, etc.
  • The candidates will not be allowed to enter with any kind of communication devices like Mobile phones, Pager, Headphones, Microphone, etc.
  • Items like wallet, handbags, goggles, belt, cap, etc., will not be allowed under any circumstances.
  • Any kind of metallic item will not be allowed inside the exam center.
  • Candidates must leave their wrist watch, camera, bracelet, etc., outside the examination center.
  • Any eatable item or any opened can will not be permitted to be taken inside.
  • All the ornaments like nose pin, earrings, bangles, chain, necklace, etc., will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
  • Candidates must leave any object taken by hiding or any unfair means, for hiding any communication devices outside the examination hall.

If any candidate is found with anything mentioned above will not be allowed to take the exam and action will be taken against the candidate as per the provision.

NOTE: No special arrangements will be made for the articles to be kept outside the examination hall. Candidates will be responsible if the articles are lost.


2. Dress Code

The candidates appearing for the exam must follow the dress code mentioned below. The candidates should not enter the examination hall in a dress code improper to that mentioned.

  • Candidates must be wearing light colored clothes with half sleeves.
  • Candidates must wear slippers or sandals, shoes must be avoided by them.
  • The candidates coming in customary or any religious clothes must report at the examination hall by 8.30 for proper frisking. No special arrangements will be made for any articles of the candidates which cannot be taken inside the examination hall.
  1. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after 9.30 am. Candidates are advised to ensure that they reach the examination center half an hour in advance and plan their travel accordingly. Candidates must strictly follow the schedule of the exam. The exam will start exactly at the time as mentioned in the admit card.
  2. The candidate must show their NEET 2016 Admit Card as and when asked. No candidates will be allowed to appear in the exam without a valid admit card.
  3. Every candidate is allotted a seat with his/her roll number any candidate found to be seated somewhere else will not be allowed to take the exam.
  4. No candidate will be allowed to leave their seat until the exam gets over.
  5. If any candidate was not able to take the examination on the scheduled day, in such cases, there is no circumstance under which he/she will be allowed to take it again.
