NEET 2016: CMC Vellore MBBS Results announced

Candidates who are willing to get admission into medical programmes at CMC Vellore, a national level Medical Institute, must get updated as the results of the final Merit List have been announced on September 24, 2016. The Institute is managed by Christian Medical College Vellore Association, Vellore. There are 100 seats in MBBS Course in which 16 seats are reserved for candidates from all over India and 84 seats are reserved for sponsored candidates.

As per the Supreme Court and Govt. of India order, Candidates will be shortlisted for Step-2 i.e. Special Test and Interviews will be based on Candidate’s NEET 2016 Score.

In the lieu of fresh applications submitted after the Supreme Court order on NEET  2016 mandate, the selection result has been announced on September 24, 2016. And the classes for the course will commence from September 27, 2016.

CMC Vellore MBBS Selection Process

CMC Vellore MBBS 2016 entrance examination was cancelled post Supreme Court’s ruling of May 9, 2016. However, CMC Vellore will conduct the step 2 of CMC Vellore MBBS on the basis of NEET scores. The step 2 of CMC Vellore MBBS admission process comprises Special Tests and interview.

Candidates who wish to take part in the step 2 of the CMC Vellore MBBS admission process are required to apply online through the official admission site of CMC Vellore. However, those who had applied for the entrance examination in month of February-March, 2016 need not fill the application form again.

Generally selection are based on two main categories i.e. open and sponsored. Medical aspirants are required to follow the below mentioned steps in order to justify the CMC Vellore MBBS selection process:

  1. Firstly, candidates whose applications are in order and completed will only get registered for the further process.
  2. Candidate will have to produce original certificates at the time of registration for step 2.
  3. The candidates will be shortlisted for Step-2 at Vellore based on NEET scores and online aptitude assessment. The assessment of the candidates are done on the basis of character and suitability of an aspirant.
  4. Further, an interview will be conducted at the assessment stage.

CMC Vellore MBBS Result on basis of NEET 2016 Scores

The final result for CMC Vellore MBBS is going to be announced on September 24, 2016.

Following are the important pointers, candidates should remember while considering CMC Vellore MBBS results:

  • Candidates can view their results on the official website of CMC Vellore Admissions.
  • CMC Vellore Medical results will also be displayed on the notice board of college and main hospital campus.
  • The candidates selected after declaration of the result will have to report at the designated centers on the allotted time & date slot to complete the registration process for admission.
  • Candidates who fail to report on the allotted date & time slot would be summarily rejected and instead the candidates from the waiting list would be allowed to complete the registration process.

Waiting List

Candidates from each waiting list will be given an opportunity to complete the registration for admission in case a higher ranked candidates decides to withdraw from the course.

CMC Vellore MBBS Admission Process

The admission process for MBBS course will commence after the results for special tests and interviews are published. The selected candidates will have to register themselves by paying the tuition fee and completing the other formalities for registration. They will have to submit their certificates in Original.

Essential Documents required at the time of admission

Medical aspirants are advised to carry original documents as well as attested photocopies to be submitted at time of admission. The candidates must ensure that they have the following document for obtaining provisional admission in CMC, Vellore MBBS 2016. Consider the following list of document for obtaining admission successfully.

  • NEET 2016 Score card
  • Copies of the Qualifying Examination Certificate
  • Hall ticket issued for Step-2
  • Caste Certificates- The Candidates applying from SC/ST categories should provide the relevant caste certificate from Deputy Tehsildar or District Magistrate
  • The Candidates seeking admission from the Sponsored categories should possess the academic qualification documents. They should have documents related to their registration with the sponsoring body.
  • Passport Size Photographs
  • Demand Draft for the complete fee of first year admission. (Candidates should mention all the details on back side of the DD)

Those who are applying for ‘Undergraduate College Sponsorship for Christians’ should attain following documents:

  • A certificate from the Pastor of the Candidate’s church sating his/her family has been member of that church for not less than 10 years.
  • Baptism/ Confirmation Certificate

Please Note: Those applying under ‘Central Pool Scheme’ should contact the concerned authorities as mentioned in the Information brochure for the required documents.

CMC Vellore MBBS Admission Fee

Candidates who have cleared the selection process are required to submit the CMC Vellore MBBS application fee, in order to reserve their seat for MBBS course. We are providing a breakage of admission fee to give you full information on the same. Candidates are requested to submit the fee on time for the smooth registration process.

This year has been one of ambition, hope & a lot of news for NEET 2016 candidates. Following the decision of Supreme Court on May 09, 2016. National Eligibility Cum Entrance, NEET 2016 will now on be considered as the only centralized Medical Entrance Exam for Govt. & Privately aided institutes across the nation.

NEET 2016 was successfully conducted on July 24, 2016. The Results were declared on August 17, 2016. The Counselling for all the qualified candidates commenced soon after the results were declared.

In a recent hearing by Supreme Court, It has been decided that centralized counselling will be conducted for all the private Medical Institutes by the respective State Medical counselling authorities. Also, the counselling till date conducted by those Private Institutes will stand cancelled.

Hi Manish, The NEET Entrance Exam is a national level entrance test for MBBS/BDS admissions after class 12. if you want to get admission in best college for MBBS, you need to appear for this exam and Admission to medical courses will now be done through NEET, as directed by the Supreme Court.
