NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling

NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling will provide admissions to medical/ dental colleges in the State of Kerala. The Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala, is the conducting body for NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling. Candidates who qualify NEET 2017 will be called for the State counselling rounds. 

Latest Update: CEE Kerala has announced the dates for Phase 6 allotment for admission to vacant seats in MBBS and BDS courses based on NEET 2017 score. For phase 6 counselling and seat allotment, candidates need to report at Old Auditorium inside Government Medical College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram on August 28 and August 29, 2017 with documents in orignal and requisite fee. In case of seats remaining vacant after August 29 (till 5 pm), spot round counselling will be conducted on August 30 and August 31, 2017 at the same venue.
  • If seats are left vacant under NRI minority community quota, the same will be converted to NRI open merit quota.
  • If seats become still unavailed, it will be converted to management minority quota seats.
  • If the seats still remain vacant, the same will be converted to State Merit Quota.

NEET 2017 Kerala Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the medical/ dental colleges of Kerala, can check the NEET 2017 Eligibility Criteria for the NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling listed below.

  • Candidates must have passed Class XII with PCB subjects as the core subjects. They must have obtained at least 50% of marks in aggregate.
  • Candidates will have to qualify NEET 2017. The minimum NEET Cut off 2017 for General category students is50% and reserved category students is 40%.
  • Only Indian nationals are eligible to admissions in MBBS/BDS programs.
  • Candidates should be more than 17 years of age. The age limit will be calculated as on December 31, 2016.
  • Candidates must have a domicile of origin in Kerala.
  • Candidates whose parents are employed in the Kerala government are also eligible for admission.

NEET 2017 Kerala Application Form

  • Candidates will be required to register themselves for NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling process.
  • The Kerala MBBS application form was made available from February 01, 2017 to February 27, 2017 on the official website.
  • Candidates must check NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling eligibility criteria before applying.
  • They are required to send the print out of the application form along with relevant documents to the CEE Kerala.
  • NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling will be an online procedure. 
  • Application fee for NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling application form is INR 800 for students belonging to the General category & INR 400 for the SC/ OBC candidates.
  • There is no application fee for the ST category candidates.
  • Candidates who want to opt for Dubai as their center, will have to pay INR 12,000 in addition to the application fee.
  • They may pay the application fee through online/ offline mode.

The steps involved in filling NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling application form are shown below:

  1. Visit the official website of CEE, Kerala i.e. www.cee-kerala.org
  2. Register for NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling through NEET registration ID.
  3. Upload the scanned copy of recent photograph and signature in jpg/ jpeg format
  4. Fill up the personal details, educational qualification details in the application form.
  5. Make the payment through net- banking, credit/ debit card or e- challan.
  6. Fill up their maximum preferences of medical colleges.
  7. Take a print out of the application form and send it to the following address:

NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling Process

  • Admission to MBBS/ BDS colleges in Kerala will be granted through NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling.
  • Candidates shortlisted on the basis of NEET will be called for the counselling process.
  • Kerala will subsequently release a merit list for admissions to 85% of the State- quota seats in government colleges.
  • However, the admissions to the remaining 15% seats will be done by the Medical counselling committee (MCC).
  • Merit list will be released in accordance with candidates’ categories as mentioned in the application form.
  • Verification of documents was done after the seats have been allotted to the selected candidates.
  • Candidates was required to submit their original documents to their allotted colleges during the admission process.

Documents Required NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling

  • NEET 2017 Allotment Letter
  • NEET 2017 Admit Card
  • Mark sheet and Pass Certificate of 10+2 examination
  • Proof of Date of Birth
  • Physical fitness certificate
  • Receipt of payment of fees
  • Caste/ medical certificate 

Spot Counselling- If at all the seats remain vacant after the NEET 2017 Kerala State Counselling, a spot counselling round would be organized. The spot counselling round will also be conducted by the CEE, Kerala.

Hi Manish, The NEET Entrance Exam is a national level entrance test for MBBS/BDS admissions after class 12. if you want to get admission in best college for MBBS, you need to appear for this exam and Admission to medical courses will now be done through NEET, as directed by the Supreme Court.
