Haryana MBBS/BDS Admission 2018 through NEET

Haryana MBBS/ BDS admission will be conducted by University of Health Sciences on the basis of NEET score. The Application form for Haryana MBBS/ BDS admission will be available from June 2018.

  • There is no state level medical entrance examination to get admission in MBBS/BDS course.
  • Candidates will have to satisfy eligibility criteria to be qualified for the counselling process.
  • All India Seats will be allotted by MCC counselling and 85% Haryana state seats will be allotted through NEET Haryana Counselling Process.

NEET 2018

NEET is a national level medical entrance examination conducted by CBSE for MBBS/ BDS admissions. NEET 2018 Application Form will be available on the official website, interested candidates can apply online till the first week of March 2018. The written exam is to be scheduled for the first week of May 2018.

The entrance exam is divided into four sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. It consists of 180 questions. Candidates need to solve the paper in three hours. Candidates will have to appear for counselling process after the announcement of the result. NEET 2018 Result will be announced in the first week of June 2018.

Haryana MBBS Admission 2018 Eligibility

NEET 2018 Eligibility Criteria for Haryana MBBS/BDS Admission are given below:

  • Candidates should be passed in class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from any recognized board.
  • They must have obtained at least 50% of marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ ST category). For Physically Handicapped Candidates, the minimum qualifying aggregate marks are 45%. 
  • Candidates will have to qualify NEET 2018 to get admission in medical colleges.
  • If the applicant is taking admission under state quota seats, they must have domicile of Haryana state.
  • Candidates should be medically fit as per physical standard eligibility rules. They must be more than 17 years of age as on December 31, 2018.

Reservation Criteria

In NEET Haryana Counselling the seats are bonafide for the Haryana Residential candidates. Seats in Medical Colleges are reserved as per the rules of Haryana Government. The table below depicts the seat distribution for various categories in Haryana Medical Colleges:

Note: There will be 3% horizontal reservation for Ex-servicemen/Dependent of freedom fighters within reservation of 1% of general category, 1% out of scheduled castes and 1% from backward classes’ categories for admission to the various educational institutions of the Govt. and Govt. aided colleges/institutes located in Haryana.

Weightage to Sportsperson 

No seats will be reserved for the candidates who distinguished themselves for sports quota. But if such candidates qualify NEET 2018, they will be given additional 5% wieghtage on the grade scale.

Candidates claiming such weightage should submit a Certificate issued by the Director of Sports of the Haryana State stating grade and period of participation. Certificate from any other source will not be accepted.


Haryana MBBS 2018 Application Form

Candidates have to register themselves for admission process. They must check the eligibility criteria for the admissions before applying. Haryana MBBS/ BDS Application Form will be available from June 2018. Candidates can check the steps to apply for medical colleges through NEET which are given below:

  1. Candidates need to complete the registration through NEET score.
  2. After the successful registration, User ID of the candidate will be generated. They can fill up the maximum preferences of colleges during registration.
  3. Fill up the personal, educational qualification, category and residential details in the application form.
  4. Upload the scanned copy of photograph, signature and left thumb impressions. The images should be in jpg/ jpeg/ png format.
  5. Make the payment through net banking/ debit/ credit or e- challan at any branch of SBI.
  6. At last, verify the entered details and take a print out of the confirmation page for the counselling process.

Registration and Counselling Fee

The registration/ counselling fee for general category is INR 3000 while it is INR 750 for SC/ST category applicants.


Haryana MBBS 2018 Merit List

The Haryana MBBS Merit List will release after the declaration of NEET 2018 Merit List. It will be released category wise. The candidates will be shortlisted in the merit list according to the marks obtained in NEET 2018. The seat allotment will be done as per the merit list in the respective category.


Haryana MBBS Counselling Process

The Haryana MBBS Counselling will be carried out through online mode. The shortlisted candidates on the basis of NEET score will be called for the counselling process. Candidates will be required to report to the assigned institute with seat allotment letter for taking admissions in medical colleges.

The University of Health Science will release a merit list for admissions to 85% state quota seats in medical/ dental colleges. The admissions to remaining 15% seats will be done by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Seat Allocation will be done on the basis of NEET 2018 score. Candidates will have to produce all the original documents for the verification at the time of seat allotment. There are 1250 MBBS seats and 800 BDS seats in government medical colleges and dental college of Haryana.

Seat Allotment 

First Round

  • In Round 1 the Seats will be allotted on merit basis and preference mentioned during registration. ·
  • The allotment result will be published on the official website. No Individual allotment letters will not be sent to the candidates. However, candidates need to take print out of the allotment details.
  • Candidates will have to physically present at the allotted college with the provisional letter.

Second Round ·

  • Second round of counselling will be conducted for the vacant seats available after the first round. ·
  • Registered candidates can change choices and resubmit them. ·
  • Eligible candidates for allotment against vacant seats fall into one of the following two groups:

Group I: Candidates who reported at the allotted college after first round of seat allotment and opted for all the choices of preference higher than the currently allotted seat (auto-upgradation) to be considered in the subsequent round.

Group II: Candidates who were not allotted any seats in the first round of seat allotment.

Documents Required for Counselling

The documents required at the time of counselling for Haryana MBBS Admission are as follows:

  • Original receipt of registration and counselling fee
  • Domicile certificate
  • 10/12 certificates and mark sheets
  • NEET 2018 Rank Card
  • NEET 2018 Admit Card
  • Provisional allotment letter
  • Six photographs, Identity proof
  • Caste certificates
  • Economically Backward Class in General Category certificate
  • Sports Certificate issued by Director of Sports, Haryana State

Hi Manish, The NEET Entrance Exam is a national level entrance test for MBBS/BDS admissions after class 12. if you want to get admission in best college for MBBS, you need to appear for this exam and Admission to medical courses will now be done through NEET, as directed by the Supreme Court.
