Bihar MBBS Admission 2017-18 through NEET 2017

NEET 2017 is a national level entrance examination conducted by CBSE for admission to MBBS and BDS programs across the country. Admission to UG programs offered  Bihar will be done on the basis of NEET score. Previously, admissions in MBBS/ BDS were done through state level medical entrance examination.

There is no state level medical entrance to apply for MBBS course. Bihar MBBS admission will start after declaration of NEET 2017 Score. NEET 2017 was conducted successfully on May 07, 2017.

Candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria before taking part in the counselling process. Seat allotment will be done by the state counseling authority based on All India Ranks allotted in NEET 2017. Bihar MBBS 2017 Eligibility Criteria

NEET 2017 Eligibility Criteria for Bihar MBBS admission are given below:

  • Candidates should be passed or appearing in 12th standard with Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology from BCECE board.
  • They must have obtained at least 50% of marks in aggregate. Reserved category candidates are relaxed by 10% of marks in aggregate.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 50 percentiles in NEET 2017 (40 percentile for SC/ST/OBC category).
  • The applicants should be medically fit as per physical standard eligibility rules.
  • They must be not less than 17 years in age as on December 31, 2016.
  • Candidates must have domicile of Bihar. The applicant’s parents must be working in Bihar as an employee of govt. of India are also eligible for admission.

Bihar MBBS 2017 Application form

For Bihar MBBS admission, the application form will be available in June 2017. Aspiring candidates can apply for counselling process. Allotment of seats in medical colleges will be done during counselling process. Candidates can check the steps to apply for NEET 2017 counselling process which are given below:

  1. Candidates will have to do registration after NEET 2017 result on the official website of NEET.
  2. They have to provide their personal details and contact details during registration.
  3. Click on the submit button, then UGMAC-ID will generate on the screen
  4. Log in with UGMAC ID and pay the counselling fee. Make the payment through online or offline mode. The counselling fee for GEN/ OBC category is Rs. 600 and for SC/ ST category is Rs 300.
  5. After successful payment of counselling fee, candidates need to upload the scanned copy of photograph and signature.
  6. Fill the choices of college & courses and click on confirm button.
  7. Take a printout of the same for its future reference.

Bihar MBBS Admission 2017 Counselling Process

The shortlisted candidates on the basis of NEET 2017 exam will be called for counselling process. The seat allotment will be based on applicant’s ranking in the merit list and the choices filled by them during registration. DGHS and MCC conducts counselling for admission to 85% state quota seats while 15% admission to 15% of All India quota seats. Candidates are advised to download the seat allotment letter. They required to report the allotted college along with their original documents for further MBBS admission process.

Documents required while reporting to allotted institute

Candidates will have to bring all the original certificates while reporting at allotted college. Check the following documents which are given below:

  1. NEET 2017 Admit Card
  2. 10th / 12th certificates and mark sheets
  3. Copy of Bihar MBBS 2017 Application Form
  4. Final Seat Allotment letter
  5. Caste/ medical/ domicile certificates

NEET 2017 Bihar MBBS Seat Reservation

NEET 2017 reservation varies for different categories. The reservation of status of each category is as follow:

  • General Category – 50%
  • OBC category – 27%
  • SC category – 15%
  • ST category – 8%

Hi Manish, The NEET Entrance Exam is a national level entrance test for MBBS/BDS admissions after class 12. if you want to get admission in best college for MBBS, you need to appear for this exam and Admission to medical courses will now be done through NEET, as directed by the Supreme Court.
