AFMC, Pune Selection Process through NEET Exam

AFMC Selection Process

If you plan on sitting for AFMC exam, then it is important for you to first go through the Eligibility Criteria of AFMC. If you get all the green signals while checking the Eligibility Criteria, then you are good to move forward to the step on the next step. The next step is for you to fill the AFMC Application Form. After filling in the details, you now have to wait for the AFMC Hall Ticket, which is your gateway pass to sit for the exam.

As an aspirant, for you to get selected in the elite medical college, you need to go through two levels. The first level is to sit for the NEET Exam and based on your NEET Score, you will be shortlisted for the second level. In the second level, as per your online registration numbers, you will have to appear for AFMC ToELR (Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning) and Psychological assessment cum Interview for the final selection in the Ace Institute.

We inform you that ToELR will be a Computer Based Test consisting of 40 MCQs of 2 Marks each. There will be negative marks of 0.5 for every incorrect answer. You are required to answer all the 40 questions within 30 minutes. The marks obtained in ToELR will be added to NEET score (max of 720) to get a score out of 800. This will be divided by 4 to get the written examination score out of 200. The AFMC interview will consist of 50 marks. The final AFMCMBBS Merit will be based on the Final score thus obtained in written AFMC examination score + interview marks.

Important Highlights of AFMC MBBS 2016 are mentioned below:

  • The second level in the AFMC selection process is ToELR and it will be conducted in Computer Based mode.
  • AFMC MBBS selection test will have 40 MCQs each carrying 2 marks. The 40 questions are supposed to be answered within 30 minutes.
  •  For each incorrect response, 0.5 will be deducted i.e. there will be a negative marking in ToELR.
  • The AFMC MBBS 2016 merit list will be based on NEET 2016 marks + ToELR score and interview marks
  • AFMC MBBS 2016 will be calculatedon the basis of score obtained in AIPMT/NEET 2016 added to the ToELR score divided by 4 to get a score out of 200. The total will be max of AIPMT 2016 marks + ToELR i.e. (720 + 80)/4
  • Last year AFMC MBBS Cut off Marks is given below: Boys: 478/720 and Girls: 537/720

AFMC Seat Matrix

AFMC offers a total of 130 seats which includes boys, girls and other SC/STs (Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribes) aspirants. Also, we inform you if you are selected, then you are liable to serve in the medical services of the Armed Forces, on successful completion of MBBS, for at least seven years.

Hi Uddhav, No, he is not eligible for the BVSc program because the basic Eligibility of BVSc is The basic eligibility for this course is 10 2 with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% in aggregate from CBSE/ICSE/State Board or equivalent. Students who have appeared in 10 2 or any other intermediate level examination and are awaiting results can also apply for the program and can be admitted on a provisional basis.
