MHT CET 2016 Medical First Selection List for 15% All India Quota through NEET 2016 released

DMER (Directorate of Medical Education & Research) has recently released NEET first selection list for 15% All India Quota (Govt. /Corporation) for MBBS and BDS courses. Candidates who attempted MHTCET exam and comes under the above mentioned quota can visit the official website and check the list. The admission will take place from September 29, 2016. The eligible students selected need to take admission before September 29, 2016 (upto 5.p.m).

The admitting institute will verify the required documents and ascertain eligibility criteria of the selected candidates as per NEET 2016 guidelines. All the eligible candidates are suggested to join the respective institutions by submitting all the original documents and by paying the required fee.

MHT CET Seat Allotment

MHTCET is a state level umbrella examination for admission to first year programmes of Health Science and Technical courses for the academic year 2016-2017.

This year, MHT CET 2016 was conducted for Technical and Health Science courses on May 05, 2016. The Results were declared on June 01, 2016. All the qualified candidates were invited for MHTCET Counselling followed by MHTCET Seat Allotment. The candidates are required to fill the preferences by viewing the seats available for various colleges under various institutions. The preference form will be made available at the office of the regional centre as per notified schedule. The duly filled preference form should be submitted at the same office.

All India Quota (NEET) and Central Pool Scheme: The 15% seats in all Government and Municipal Corporation Medical and Dental colleges are contributed under All India Quota category. Fifteen seats in Government Medical colleges, three seats in Government Dental Colleges and five seats (BAMS) in Government Ayurved Colleges are earmarked under “Central Pool Scheme” and are filled by the Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of India, Nirman Bhavan, New Delhi.

Admission Reporting Centres

Candidates who are allotted seats, are required to visit at the Admission Reporting Centres with all the mandatory documents within stipulated time. The Reporting Centres are responsible for documentation and verification of candidates’ identity and credentials. Candidates should attend the Seat Allotment Procedure at Reporting Centre in person to support their claim to the allotted seats.

There are a total of 111 Admission Reporting Centres assigned by Directorate of Technical Education and Health Sciences, Maharashtra for candidates’ ease and comfort. Preferably, Reporting Centre in vicinity of Candidates’ Test Venue will be appointed to the candidate.

Post MHT CET Seat Allotment

There is a prescribed procedure, which a candidate is required to follow after the seat allotment process. Candidates can choose to Freeze/Slide/Float the offered seats post MHT CET Seat Allotment. Frozen Seats are considered confirmed and such candidates are not allowed to participate in the upcoming rounds of MHT CET Seat Allotment.

Candidates choosing to slide, accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to the academic program of higher preference is offered within the same Institution, they will accept it. Such Candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.

Candidates choosing to float, accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to an academic program of higher preference in any Institution is offered, they will accept it. Else, they will continue with the currently accepted academic program. Such Candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.

However candidates who are offered the first preference of their choices are not allowed to Slide/Float the offered seat.

MHT CET Mandatory Documents for MHT CET Seat Allotment

Aspirants are advised to carry with them the following list of documents for the purpose of verification. The submission of these documents is mandatory, failing the submission of which the admission would not be considered.

Candidates who are offered seats are required to produce following documents at Admission Reporting Centres to support their claim for the allotted seats. Candidates without the mandatory documents will be rejected from the process. Following is the list of necessary documents:

  • Mark statement of Qualifying Exam
  • Seat Allotment Letter
  • Passing Certificate
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Migration Certificate (if taking admission in other university)
  • Gap Certificate (if applicable)
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Certificate of Nationality
  • S.S.C. Marksheet
  • H.S.C. Marksheet
  • CET Scorecard
  • One passport size and one stamp size photograph
  • Income Certificate (if opting for EBC)
  • Aadhar Card

MHT CET Fee Structure

After the completion of seat allotment procedure, Candidates are required to submit the admission fee, which is necessary to finalise the allotted seat. Below is the table mentioning fee structure of Government colleges for academic year 2016-17

In a recent hearing by Supreme Court, It has been decided that centralized counselling will be conducted for all the private Medical Institutes by the respective State Medical counselling authorities. Also, the counselling till date conducted by those Private Institutes will stand cancelled.
