Unlike previous years, there were no ambiguous question this year. TS EAMCET 2017 was moderate in nature with direct and conceptual questions. TS EAMCET 2017 seems to have been moderately easy yet lengthy. Few questions from some subjects were even lengthier than last year.
The individual rating has been assigned for different difficulty level with easy questions rated as 1 and difficult questions rated as 3. The table below provides us with a good insight about the difficulty of the paper.
Subjects were of varying difficulty in which Chemistry was on the tougher side compared with Physics and Biology. A total of 160 marks on the scale of level of difficulty of TS EAMCET 2017 is as follows:
Overall, the paper is considered slightly easier than the last year, hence the cut-off should slightly increase from last year in all categories.
Physics section was the easiest of all the three sections. It had 40 questions carrying 1 marks each. The majority of the questions appeared from the units - Electrostatics and Magnetic Field. These two units comprised of more than 50% of the total questions appearing in the section.
Students having a grip over these two units would have done fairly well in this section. Thermodynamics and Modern Physics also had a good weightage with nearly 40% of the questions appearing from these two units. However, the questions were lengthy and involved a lot of calculations.
Biology section is subdivided into- Botany and Zoology. The questions asked in Biology were very standard and covered almost every chapter from class 11 and class 12. It should be noted that the questions were taken from chapters in a very balanced way making it a standard question paper. The section had easy, difficult and average level of questions in a proper mixture.
All the important and worthy chapters were given due importance. There were some questions that were asked beyond the NCERT. Students who were able to figure out the easy questions and manage time along with accuracy would have done quite well in this section.
Chemistry section was of moderate to tough with majority of the questions falling in the difficult category. The section had 40 questions for 1 marks each. Out of these 40 questions, 14 questions lied in the Easy-Moderate zone. Organic Chemistry covered almost 33% of the total questions. Organic chemistry along with Physical Chemistry covered more than 65% of the questions. Students having a command over these two units would have done quite well in this section.
The numerical problems were formula based and easy too. The most interesting thing about one question Code-A, Q.37 was, it had two correct options.
The questions were quite spread out as university tried to touch all the topics and asked at least 1 question from each topic. However, Organic Chemistry dominated the section with most of the questions but with a lot of different topics in the paper it was difficult for the students to rely only on one topic to excel the section.
The Cut Off for TS EAMCET varies as per the institutes accepting the EAMCET Scores. It will be released after the entrance exam concludes. Through the statics given below, candidate will get to know about an estimate they need to score to get into the college of their choice.
