STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test(TSICET) is the state level postgraduate level entrance examination conducted by the Kakatiya University, Warangal on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad. TSICET 2018 will be conducted to test the aptitude of candidates seeking admission into MBA & MCA programmes in the institutions & colleges situated in the Telangana State.
TSICET 2018 application process will start in February 2018, and the examination will be held in the month of May 2018 in Offline mode at various test centres across the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
TSICET 2018 question paper will consist of 200 questions of the objective type. Candidates will be given 150 minutes to complete the Test.
TSICET Syllabus will test candidates on their Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability and Communication Ability. Using the TSICET syllabus given below, the applicants will be able to prepare and study well for the Communication Ability section of the entrance examination as they will gain more knowledge regarding the examination syllabus of TSICET 2018. Referring to the TSICET 2018 syllabus will allow the applicants to study more easily as all information will be known by the applicants.
TSICET 2018 Communication Ability syllabus would be based on the basic ability of candidates to:
Previous year candidates have described Communication Ability in TSICET to be of moderate level. Candidate must go through all the topics and chemical reactions to get a grip of all the topics. TSICET Syllabus for Communication Ability consists of four topics and carries 50 marks out of 150 marks in TSICET question paper. For the Communication Ability section, candidates are required to focus more on the Vocabulary and Functional Grammar.
This sub-section test the English vocabulary of candidates. Candidates must be able to identify words used in the day-to-day communication. Ten multiple choice questions are asked from this topic.
2) Business and Computer Terminology
This sub-section test the knowledge of the candidate in basic business and computer terminology. Ten multiple choice questions are asked from this topic. Candidates must be able to identify the basic terminology and concepts in computer and business contexts like letters, reports, memoranda, agenda, minutes, booting, debugging, etc.
3) Functional Grammar
This sub-section will test candidates proficiency in the English grammar. Candidates must be able to understand the functional use of grammar in day-to-day communication as well as in the business contexts. Fifteen multiple choice questions of fifteen marks are asked from this topic. The questions will be asked from the following topics:
4) Reading Comprehension
This sub-section test the visual understanding and reading skills of the candidate. Three passages are given in the question paper of five marks each.
Preparation tips mentioned below will help candidates in scoring good marks and cracking TSICET with good score. The best to prepare for TSICET is to solve the previous year papers and sample papers on the regular basis. On the basis of TSICET score, candidates will be able to take admission to MBA and MCA courses offered by colleges of the state of Telangana affiliated to TSCHE.
