The IIT Joint Admission Test for M.Sc programmes (JAM) every year attracts thousands of applications against a limited number of seats, i.e., as many as 1775 seats across 15 colleges offering PG Science programmes including Mathematics.
Many of the IIT JAM applicants are screened out with the JAM entrance examination. Yet, the number of aspirants qualifying the IIT JAM is quite huge in comparison to the number of available seats.
