GCET 2018 Application Form

GCET 2018 Application Form A will tentatively be released in last week of March 2018. Goa CET forms are available in two parts Form A and Form B on the official website. Interested candidates must download the application form i.e., Form A in their own handwriting and submit it to the center by first week of April 2018.

The other form- Form B is for counselling and admission process, applicants must obtain it at the time of application but fill it once the results for GCET 2018 are out. Before applying for GCET, an applicant must be thorough with the GCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria. The minimum eligibility requirement to sit for GCET is that a candidate must have cleared class 10+2 with minimum of 45% marks. There is 5% relaxation in the minimum percentage for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST).

How to Apply for GCET 2018?

The application procedure for the GCET is completely offline. However, application forms will be available online from last week of March 2018. Candidate must submit the filled in application at the locations as per center opted during filling of the application.  Steps to obtain application form have been stated below:

  • Download the application from the official website-
  • Click on ‘Admissions’ head and go to ‘Application Form’ section.
  • Click on it and download GCET Form (A) to complete application procedure, Form B is used for counseling and admissions.

Candidates, after carefully filling the application form, can submit it along with self-attested photocopies of required documents and Demand Draft for paying application fee at centers. They must enclose all the above mentioned documents in an envelope and address the same to

On submission of GCET 2018 Application Form, do not forget to collect Form B and Admit card. 

Steps to fill GCET Application Form

Once GCET 2018 Application Form is downloaded from the official website, candidates will be required to fill in the information offline on its printed copy in their own handwriting. The steps to fill in GCET application form are as follows:

  1. Take a printed copy of the application form.
  2. Write down all the details asked in form such as name and the date of birth in capital letters.
  3. Write details regarding place of birth, full address inclusive of PIN Code as indicated, phone number and mobile number.
  4. Fill in qualification/academic details.
  5. Paste a recent passport size colored photograph neatly in the space allotted.
  6. Move on to fill GCET centre code and centre name. Candidates can check the list given below for GCET centre codes and centre names:

  1. Write all the details asked about Demand Draft (DD) including DD number, bank name and date of issue.
  2. After reading the declaration sign at the space indicated. Along with the candidate’s name and signature, the name and signature of the Parent/Guardian are also required.

Important Documents Required

Applicants must be in possession of the following information and documents to be able to fill GCET application properly without any errors. The documents required at the time of filling application form are:

  • Three recent passport size color photographs, more than three months old.
  • Two self-attested photocopies of SSCE Passing Certificate, class 12 passing certificate or two self-attested photocopies of the HSSC hall ticket, details of Demand Draft.

GCET 2018 Application Fee

Candidates wishing to apply for GCET 2018 must pay an application fee of INR 1,500. The payment for the GCET Application can be done only through a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favor of the ‘Director of Technical Education’ payable at Panaji, Goa. DD must be drawn from any scheduled bank. Candidates must ensure that DD remains valid for up to three months after the date of issue. Pay GCET application fee and submit the application before last date.

GCET 2018 Application Form Status and Form Correction

GCET application form submission is considered successful if it is done in person. Candidates are required to visit the center and personally submit the GCET Application along with the supporting documents. GCET applications sent through post or via somebody else will be rejected. The candidate must also be aware that incomplete applications, applications containing wrong information and damaged applications will also be rejected. The admit card will be obtained after successful submission of the GCET application. There are no other means to receive the admit card.
