With only a little time on hand, use your time wisely. Prepare well in advance for the exam. Here are some tips that will help you study better for the IPU CET (BBA).
Planning your strategy is the most important thing in a battle. Similarly, your studies too have to be planned. Analyze your strong and weak sections. Revise your weak topics thoroughly, understanding the basic concepts. In doing so, have a good command over your strong topics. Understand how much time should be given to each topic.
Practice numerical for Mathematics and Aptitude section everyday. Solve questions immediately after you finish studying the concept. This will help you identify various approaches towards a question and tackle it. Keep reading day to day events so that you are up to date with all general events. Practice English vocabulary, idioms and phrases with the help of flashcards. Reading newspapers will not only help you in the section of general awareness but also sharpen your English language skills.
Speed is inversely proportional to time. Hence the faster you solve the problems, the more time you can invest in other problems. Keep a stopwatch close to you while practicing problems so you have knowledge of time consumed in a particular problem. You have only two and a half hour for the exam giving you precisely a minute for each question. The ideal study and break time should be in the proportion of 3:1. Study for 30 minutes and then take a break for 10 minutes. This will help you focus better. Remember time is the key to this exam.
Get creative with your studying method. Studying doesn’t necessarily mean sitting with a book in hand, ready to take notes. You can try various studying tools and use them as they suit you. Perfect examples of such study tools are online flashcards, mind maps, flowcharts, mnemonics, online study planners, video and audio resources. This way you will not get bored of studying for long hours and be interested in studying.
Solve as many mock tests as possible. You get accustomed to the kind of questions asked and have knowledge of time that you have at hand. Don't solve any mock paper before the day of the exam. Only revise then.
You reap what you sow. Put in your best efforts for good results. Be confident. Utilize your time wisely as time once lost is lost forever. Good luck!
