SNAP 2015 Exam Pattern

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is going to held on December 20, 2015. Test will be objective type of 2 hours duration. On the basis of this entrance cut off list will be prepared by the 14 institutes participating in SNAP. There will be 4 sections of 180 marks including the quantitative, Language ,analyticaland general awareness of the test taker. The question paper will comprise of following sections:-

Important aspects of SNAP 2015 exam pattern

  • Candidates must use black or blue ball point pen pen for attempting the paper.
  • Each question will have four alternatives  and you have to choose the appropriate answer
  • Negative Marking is also applicable- 25% marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

This section mainly contained vocab heavy with 8 questions on idioms and 8 on vocab. It was comparatively simple from other sections. An attempt of 28-30 with a score of 22-23 would be considered good in 25-30 minutes here.

Having "None of the above" as one of the options is quite rare in competitive exams. It appears that SNAP took a cue from NOTA of the Election Commission of India ,There were at least 5-6 questions which required some good amount of calculations. There were 4 questions on P&C and Probability!!! There was a difficult question on Trigonometry too.Candidates must have observed that Statistical Quality Control(SQC) techniques could be applied to some 14-15 questions here. A well-prepared student could attempt 28-32 questions and could score around 24-25 marks here.

This section covered almost all the topics of Reasoning and an attempt of 20-22 questions on an average was possible.Level of difficulty varied from easy to tough.Questions on Circular arrangement and Matrix arrangement were quite  tough whereas questions on critical reasoning

This section was a blend of questions from General awareness and Current awareness sections. An attempt of 14-15 questions with a score of 8-10 in 10-15 minutes was attainable on an average.

The above marking scheme indicates that emphasis is laid on the Analytical and Reasoning section, So one should prioritize these sections while preparing for the entrance .You should aim attain a 45 on score out of 60 as it will increase your chances to clear the cut off smoothly for SIBM Pune and SCMHRD Pune.

You can get a hint of previous year cut off  for the 14 institutes which will help you to make your SNAP preparation schedule according to clear the desired institute’s cut off respectively.
