SIIB Pune Admission and SNAP Cut off 2017

SIIB (Symbiosis Institute of International Business) was established in 1992. It is one of the premier business schools in the country. SNAP exam is conducted for candidates seeking admission to the MBA programmes.

Candidates can fill the application form via both online and offline modes. Candidates can fill the SIIB Application Form from August 22, 2017 to December 17, 2017. The merit list of SNAP 2017 is scheduled to be declared on March 1, 2018.  

Selection of the candidate is done on the basis of marks secured by them in the entrance examination. Final selection of the candidate is done on the basis of Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test and Personal Interaction.

SIIB Pune Eligibility 2017

SIIB comprises of 3 types of MBA programmes named as International Business, Agri Business, and Energy and Environment. The eligibility criteria for all the three programmes are explained below:

Eligibility criteria for MBA – International Business and MBA – Agri Business

Qualification: Candidates must possess Bachelor’s degree from recognised university. Those students are also eligible to apply who are studying in the final year of bachelor’s degree but such candidates have to submit provisional degree at the time of admission.

Minimum Percentage: Candidates must secure minimum 50% aggregate marks and 45% marks secured by candidates belong to SC/ST category at graduation level from reputed university.

Eligibility criteria for MBA – Energy & Environment

Qualification: Candidates must possess engineering degree in BE/ B. Tech, B. Architecture and B.Sc. degree in Environmental Science from a recognised university. Those students are also eligible to apply who are studying in the final year of bachelor’s degree but such candidates have to submit provisional degree at the time of admission.

Minimum Percentage: Candidates must secure minimum 50% aggregate marks and 45% marks secured by candidates belong to SC/ST category at graduation level from reputed university.


SIIB Pune Admission 2017

For getting admission into the SIIB, candidates have to clear the SNAP test i.e. Symbiosis National Aptitude Test. Candidates have to follow the below steps for taking admission into the SIIB:

  • Candidates can download the application form from the official website of the university “http://www.siib.ac.in/”. The application form can be downloaded via both the online and offline modes.
  • Candidates have to register and pay online for SNAP aptitude test by submitting the fees of amount INR 1500. The application fees are non-refundable.
  • Candidates also have to pay the SIIB registration fees of amount INR 1000 for each programme. Without this submission of registration fees, aspirants will not be able to shortlisted for Group Exercise, Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test.
  • Candidates can pay the fees online through Credit card, and Net Banking they can also pay the application fees through DD from any nationalised bank in favour of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.
  • Candidates are advised to take the printout of filled in application form for future reference.

SIIB Pune Selection Procedure 2017

The selection process of the SIIB is comprised of two steps whose explanation is as below:

Step 1: Candidates who want to take admission in SIIB must have to appear for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test. SNAP is the most common written admission test for admission into all postgraduate offering institutes. By following below steps candidates can apply for the selection procedure:

  • For obtaining SNAP test information candidates have to log on to http://www.snaptest.org and register themselves.
  • After that candidates can get their SNAP-ID. At the time of admission, candidates must have to enter this SNAP-ID.
  • After that candidate has to download the Admit card and preserve it for further selection process.
  • Candidates are advised to fill the correct details because if the details find incorrect then candidates will be disqualified and their admission will be cancelled without any reason.

Step 2: Selection of the candidates is based on the SNAP scores and then shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process. Shortlisted candidates are announced on the SIIB official website. The selection process will be held in Pune. The selection process is comprised of Group Exercise, Personal Interview and Written Ability Test.

Group Exercise- In this round, candidates are divided into groups and a topic a given to them on which they have to speak about 15-20 minutes. In this round panel will check candidate’s confidence, content, communication skills, and problem-solving ability.

Personal Interview- In this round, the interviewer asked questions about candidate’s academic qualifications and checks their soft skills, confidence and thought clarity.

Written Ability Test- It’s a pen paper based test in which candidates writing skills are checked. In this round, candidates have to write a short essay on a particular topic within given 25 minutes.


SIIB Pune SNAP Cut off 2017

SNAP Cut-off is to be released by Symbiosis International University after the declaration of SNAP result. Applicants will be called for selection process on the basis of SNAP Cut off 2017. Candidates who secure more than SNAP cut off will be able to take admission in SIIB institutions.

Cut-offs are based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination. Candidates can easily get an idea about the difficulty level of the examination if they know about the SNAP Cut-off. Following are the factors that are responsible for deciding SNAP Cut-off:

  • Difficulty level of SNAP test.
  • Total number of test takers.
  • Number of seats available
  • A Total number of test qualified candidates
  • Highest and lowest marks secured
  • Reservation Policy
