NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
Venkata Vamsi Grandhi appeared for SNAP in the year 2014. He scored 96 percentile and took admission in NMIMS, Mumbai. He says, reading magazines and newspapers are very fruitful in updating with the current affairs. He says, prepare well for the unplanned interviews such as psychometric rounds. We interviewed him and he told us about his interview experiences, preparation Strategies, his success mantra and his thoughts on books for the preparation of SNAP 2017.

Ans. I took GD/PI of SIBM and SCHMHRD (through SNAP). I also attended NMIMS, Mumbai (NMAT).
Ans. They asked me the regular questions such as Why MBA? Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? My family background? Why not into armed forces, etc.?

Ans. I joined TIME for a short term course of 2 months. They taught Mathematics and Logical Ability parts well, but I feel they did not teach us Verbal sections properly.
Ans. I did it along with CAT preparation. I knew I was good at General Awareness. Otherwise no specific preparation for SNAP.

Ans. English was my weak area in case of CAT, but for SNAP my level of English was adequate. I just had to focus on improving my speed levels.
Ans. 1. Improve your speed, unlike CAT.
2. Read newspapers and general awareness books well.
3. For the interview, be prepared on unplanned situations for psychometry test.
4. Smaller puzzles calculations are to be done in mind will improve your speed.
Ans. I took Time Mock papers. They will give you an idea of how snap is, since SNAP is a little different from other exams in terms of difficulty and speed.

Ans. I used to read The Hindu and Economic times very regularly. Mint is another newspaper which I think will be useful, though I did do that when I prepared.
Ans. Prepare for SNAP and NMAT with a view to complete the exam fast. Questions are simple but speed is your gaining factor. In SNAP, if you are good at General Awareness, you can out beat others in this section, like I did.
