NATIONAL LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
National Aptitude Test in Architecture, NATA is a national level entrance exam for the candidates who seek admission in various undergraduate architectural courses. It is conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture, NIASA which is a part of Council of Architecture in New Delhi, India. NATA is conducted twice a year at various NATA examination centers across India. Also, it is conducted in two parts: - the first part is a drawing test and the second one is a computer based online test.

It is an examination, to check the aspirants drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, related to study in a specific field of Architecture. Score card is a document that a candidate should possess till the end of the whole NATA 2016 counselling and seat allotment process. It is a document containing all the basic and necessary information of an eligible candidate. Through this a candidate will be able to go through the whole admission process. The NATA Score card will be available on the official website in an e- format. The aspiring candidates should know that the score that they have scored in the NATA 2016 will be considered or valid for the period of two years after the main examination. This exam can be given for a maximum of five times during the period when their last scorecard is valid. Usually, the Score card is updated on the NATA website on the fourth working day.
The NATA Score card is a gateway for the eligible candidates to sit for the admission process to the NATA Participating Colleges depending upon their NATA Result. The candidate before selecting colleges, should go through the NATA cut offs and can then make a final decision for the same.
The eligible candidates who wish to take admission to First year of Undergraduate courses in Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture) in India take the NATA exam. NATA scores are used by the admission authorities of different Government, Government Aided and Unaided Colleges of Architecture, to provide admission to various aspiring candidates.

For the candidates of NATA 2016, the cut off is the minimum score or rank required to secure admission into the Architecture colleges/courses across India. For applying to first year of 5-year B.Arch. Degree Course, candidates should make sure to score a minimum of 40% score in NATA, i.e. at least 80/200. NATA 2016 Cut off will vary depending upon individual colleges. Council of Architecture will announce and disclose the cut off list of NATA 2016 by the month of September 2016.

The counselling process for NATA 2016 usually takes place in the month of September every year after the declaration of NATA Result. As of now there is not particular or common counselling body for the admissions to the five-year B.Arch degree courses in various institutes across India. Due to this reason, counselling is conducting by the respective participating colleges that accepts the NATA Scores.
The candidates are advised to keep a regular check on the official website so as to keep themselves updated for the latest developments regarding the counselling schedule. The candidates should know that the participating institutes announce counselling schedule on the basis of merit of the candidates in NATA 2016 and the candidates need to choose the institutes and desired courses where they seek admission.
