The conducting body of NATA is the Council of Architecture (CoA) and it takes all the decisions related to the exam. The CoA has been successful in conducting the test as a single ticket to 5-year B. Arch. (Bachelor of Architecture) Degree courses across the country. The purpose of conducting a single exam for admissions to different colleges and universities for undergraduate Architecture courses is to provide ease of conducting the test for the students and institutions alike. This also gives the students an equal opportunity to apply for colleges on the basis of their merit.
NATA can be taken by any student who has cleared the SSC (class 10th) and above. Any candidate who has passed the 10+2 exam with at 50% and mathematics as a compulsory subject is eligible for an admission to B. Arch. Courses. No provision of lateral entry is provided to students in B. Arch. Courses at any given stage. Students must note that the NATA Score is valid for a period of 2 years.
