NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
NMAT 2016 was conducted on November 23, 2016 for candidates who aspire for admissions to MBA/PGDM programmes in Mumbai and Bengaluru/Hyderabad respectively. The test was conducted across 22 cities in the 9:30 a.m. slot.
NMAT 2016 was divided into three sections namely, Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning. 120 questions were asked in total. An overall attempt of 80 questions can be considered a fairly good attempt. 32 questions were asked from the first section, i.e. Language Skills. Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning sections comprised of 48 and 40 questions respectively.
It was being said that the difficulty level of NMAT was from easy to moderate. The time allotted to attempt 120 questions was 120 minutes. Since there was no negative marking, candidates who were able to attempt 80 questions within the stipulated time slot, can be calculated as a fair performance.

Below is the sectional analysis for NMAT, held in 2016. Each section has been scrutinized, to provide you a comprehensive analysis. Candidates can refer to the below points, to score better in NMAT 2017.
The language skills section of NMAT 2017 was moderately difficult. This section comprised of questions from parajumbles, grammar, comprehension, etc. Although analogy and vocabulary questions were difficult, but the overall attempt of this section ranged to moderate level.
A candidate can score well if he/she manages to fetch 25 correct answers in this section. Following table gives a brief insight into the number of questions asked from each topic:

The quantitative skills section comprised of questions from Data Sufficiency, Date Interpretation and Quant section. The attempt of this section can fetch great marks for candidates who prepared well for Quantitative Skills section of NMAT 2016. This section had majority of questions from Data Sufficiency. A well prepared student could have easily attempted 30+ questions in this section in the allotted time.

The Logical Reasoning section was of a moderate-difficult level. 10 questions were asked from verbal logic and reasoning and their difficulty level was from easy-moderate. The questions were tricky and time consuming. Candidates needed to devote more time to this section to carefully examine and answer the questions. An attempt of 22-25 questions would have been a really good effort for this section.

We hope that the NMAT 2017 is an easy exam to attempt. The NMAT 2017 Exam Date will run till December 20, 2016. The exam paper is expected to be similar to NMAT 2016. Once the NMAT 2017 Result is declared, the NMAT 2017 Cut off will be released. The cut off list will be prepared for further admission procedures, i.e. Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates must individually qualify the cut off released by various colleges.
