Last Updated - September 12, 2017

Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur has released the admission criteria for admission to Post Graduate Program (PGP) for 2018-20 batch. The institute will look into several other factors such as the candidate’s work experience and performance in Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI) apart from their scores in CAT Exam.

Listed below are quick facts related to (IIM-K) Admission Criteria 2018:

  • There are 2 stages involved in IIM Kashipur Selection Process.
  • In Stage 1, the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT Scores.
  • 60% weightage will be given to the marks secured by candidates in CAT exam.
  • In Stage 2, the shortlisted participants are judged on the basis of  WAT (Written Ability Test) and PI (Personal Interview).
  • 30% weightage is given to the personal interviews and 10% to the WAT.
  • After the completion of both the stages, a merit list will be prepared based on the ranking of students.

The following article details out all the information related to the selection of candidates in IIM-K on the basis of CAT Selection Process.

IIM Kashipur Admission Criteria 2018 – Eligibility for Stage 1 Selection

Stage 1 will be valid for those candidates who will clear CAT 2017 and have applied for admission in IIM Kashipur.

  • In stage 1, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of Written Ability Test and Personal Interview (WAT and PI).
  • The 9 IIMs have decided to adopt a common process of WAT&PI to be coordinated this year by IIM Rohtak.
  • The nine IIMs are Amritsar, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur.

Given below is the minimum CAT Cut-off to be used for selecting eligible candidates for WAT and PI:

OBC – NC72727281

IIM Kashipur Admission Committee will decide the number of candidates who would be called for WAT & PI process on the basis of criteria prepared for each category. However, if the actual number of short-listed candidates were found to be less (more) than the required number of candidates to be called for WAT & PI category-wise, then the overall, as well as section-wise minimum score, would be reduced (increased) to get the desired number of candidates.

If a candidate will get the prescribed cut-off, they will be eligible for Stage 2.
