CAT (Common Aptitude Test) is a National level entrance exam for the candidates who seek to get admission in various PG Management programmes offered by various elite institutes across India. What is the Syllabus for CAT exam?

CAT exam is one of the most common entrance exam, which is undertaken by more than lacs of aspiring graduates every year. The CAT Syllabus is majorly divided into three sections: - Verbal Ability (English), Quant Ability (Mathematics), Logical Reasoning (LR) and Data Interpretation (DI) skills. But, it is to be noted that the CAT does not predefine any specific chapters or content upon which questions can occur. CAT Data Interpretation: Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), venn diagram, etc.

CAT 2016 Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

This is one of the most critical section in the entireCAT Exam Pattern. The candidate should be thorough and confident with the fundamentals of English grammar. In this section, the questions of Vocabulary, tests the candidate’s comprehension in English like primary meanings of words, idioms and phrases, secondary shades of meaning, usage, associated words, antonyms, etc. Many questions will be Grammar-based questions to test the candidate’s capability to mark and correct grammatical errors.
