CAT 2016: IMI Delhi invites applications for PGDM 2017-19, accepts CAT 2016 score

Management aspirants who are looking out for different management colleges to shortlist their favorite one, can now look forward to IMI Delhi, one of the top ranked B-Schools. International Management Institute (IMI), Delhi has already started its admission process for PGDM 2017-19. The admission process is entirely online and the institute will accept CAT scores.

Candidates who are willing to seek admission in this institute can apply online latest by December 12, 2016. IMI, with its admission notification has also announced the expected cut-off, which is 93 for CAT exam and 650 for GMAT exam, which is also acceptable for the admission in IMI.

CAT which is also known as Common Admission Test acts as an entryway to various management courses in IIMs  and other top management schools. This entrance test is computer based exam, which is for M.B.A admissions in 19 IIM’S and over 150 B’ schools. CAT entrance exam is organized on rotational basis by 19 IIM’s. CAT 2016 is being organized IIM Bangalore. The registration process has been initiated from August 8th 2016, which will be ongoing till September 22, 2016. Candidates can apply for the registration between this tenure by following a registration procedure. CAT exam will take place on December 4, 2016.

Eligibility Criteria for IMI, Delhi

To have a sound knowledge of eligibility criteria is necessary as it gives you an idea whether you can apply for the college/programme or not. Candidates who are keenly looking out for IMI Eligibility Criteria can have a glance at the following:

  1. The minimum eligibility to apply for attaining admission to the PGDM course at IMI, Delhi is bachelor's or equivalent degree.
  2. Candidate must have attained minimum of 50% aggregate marks in any discipline from a recognized university.
  3. An aspirant is required to attempt CAT exam  which is to be held on December 4th, 2016.
  4. No prior work experience is mandatory for a candidate to apply for IMI, Delhi

How to Apply for IMI, Delhi

Candidates who find themselves eligible by crosschecking the above mentioned eligibility criteria, can apply online for the PGDM programmes at IMI, Delhi.

  1. Aspirants appearing for CAT or GMAT can apply online by visiting the official website of IMI, Delhi.
  2. Candidates can apply online for application process for full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) till December 12, 2016.
  3. Applicants are advised to complete the online application form and submit along with the application fee of INR 200/- The amount can be paid through credit card/Debit card/Net banking.

Programmes offered by IMI, Delhi

There are three different kind of post graduate programmes offered by IMI, Delhi. Mentioned below are the courses and seats against each course:

  1. PGDM- 240 Seats
  2. PGDHRM- 60 Seats
  3. PGDM (B&FS) - 60 seats

Candidate can choose the course in accordance to their choice, results and the cut-off for each course.

Shortlisting Criteria for IMI, Delhi

IMI Delhi, for the purpose of shortlisting candidates, will accept the scores of Common Admission Test (CAT) OR Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT). The candidates who have appeared for GMAT exam, not earlier than December 2014 and not later than December 2016 can apply for IMI, Delhi to get admissions for its PGDM course.

IMI, Delhi will shortlist candidates on the following basis:

  1. CAT scores or GMAT scores
  2. Educational Background
  3. Academic performance in 10th standard
  4. Academic performance in 12th standard
  5. Graduation Marks of candidate
  6. Work Experience of a candidate

CAT Cut off other than IIMs

Apart from the top leading IIMs of India, there are other top B-schools and institutes which accept CAT score. CAT Admit Card

Date for downloading CAT 2016 Admit card is October 8th 2016. For a candidate, admit card carries a relevance in a sense that it is a document which is compulsory for appearing in CAT examination. The admit card for CAT 2016 will be released online on the official website for CAT and will be available for download from October 18, 2016 to December 4th 2016.

Please Note: Since CAT 2016 is the mandatory exam to apply for admission not only to IMI Delhi but also to other top B-schools, the candidates should get themselves register for CAT before September 22, 2016 as IIM Bangalore has clarified that there is no proposal to extend the last date of CAT registration.
