STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
TNEA 2018 Application Form will be released by Anna University online from May, 2018 onwards. TNEA registration will continue tentatively till the last week of May, 2018. Candidates must fulfill the certain eligibility criteria in order to be eligible for applying for TNEA 2018.
TNEA or Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions is conducted for candidates wishing to pursue Engineering degree in institutes belonging to Tamil Nadu. Anna University, Chennai is the body that will be conducting the admission process.

Candidates who are about to apply for TNEA 2018 should be accustomed with the following dates given below.

The qualifying criteria for TNEA depend on the number of factors mentioned below. The eligibility is also determined on the basis of the streams of engineering to which candidates are interested to apply. The eligibility conditions are stated below:
Applications without Nativity Certificate for certain categories and proper employer certificate will be rejected
According to the G.O. (St) No. 172 Higher Education (J2) Dept. dated: 29.06.2010 candidates who are Srilankan Tamil Refugee but studying in Tamil Nadu are permitted under open competition. They have to submit the following documents:
(i) Identification certificate from the Head Quarters Tahsildar.
(ii) Those who have no registration record in the refugee camp should submit a copy of passport, visa and letter registered with the local Police Station.
To get qualified in the HSC or equivalent exam with at least an average percentage of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Note: As per the latest notification issued by the Government of India it states that, for pursuing Marine Engineering Degree Course, candidates should pass 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with an average of 60 %. Furthermore, a minimum of 50% in English either at Class X or Class XII is required.
Candidates should keep in mind that application with incorrect information will be rejected by the exam authority. If any candidate fails to submit the complete application form along with fee before the mentioned time then he/she will not be allowed to participate in the counseling session. Thus, it is suggested to keep all the information handy before beginning the procedure of application form filling. TNEA 2018 application form filling procedure involved the following steps:

After successful completion of the registration candidates will be automatically redirected to the log in page. In this page candidates need to fill in all the information details as asked in the application form. Post that he/she can select either ‘SAVE AND LOGOUT’ option or ‘SAVE AND PREVIEW option. The former options allow candidates to make modifications in the application form.
Once the ‘print’ option is clicked no changes can be made in the application form. Check all the details before printing it out. Though the application reference number will be printed on the application form still it is advisable to note it down for future reference.
Step 3: Remittance of Application Fee
Application forms will not be accepted without the submission of the application fee. Application fee can be submitted both online (Credit Card/Debit card/ Net Banking) or offline. In case of both online and offline payments bank charges will be applicable along with the fees.

Step 4: Taking print out of the Application Form
Once all the formalities are done the application form is ready to print. As the forms are to be submitted offline the filled application form is needed to be print. It is suggested that applicants should keep an application hardcopy with them too for future references.

Q: What are the web browsers that support TNEA 2018 Application Form?
Answer: The official web portal of the application form supports all of the popular browsers. Only older version of the Internet Explorer cannot be used.
Q: Is it mandatory to note down the Application Number?
Answer: The application number should be noted till the counseling procedure. The counseling call letter, rank list, random number and application status are all related to the application number.
Q: How to recover the password in case it lost?
Answer: Click the ‘forgot password’ option in the log in page to reset the password. You just need to enter the email ID, date of birth, mobile number and verification code.
Q: What if after the payment is done and the receipt is not generated?
Answer: In spite of the payment being done and the receipt is generated no need of paying again. Just email the details of payment confirmation.
