JEECE 2017 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

JEECE 2017 exam is scheduled for May 07, 2017 (Sunday) in offline mode. JEECE 2017 will be held for admission to BE/ B.Tech courses. The exam consists of questions from PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics). JEECE will be conducted in two sessions on the same day. Candidates have to attempt 150 Objective type questions given in English and Hindi. One mark is awarded for every correct response and 1/4th mark deducted for every wrong answer.

JEECE (Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Examination) 2017 is a state level exam conducted by JCECEB (Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board). The syllabus of the exam is based on the 12th standard. All the questions will be based on three subject’s physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Each subject carries 50 questions in the exam. Applicants are suggested to refer NCERT books to preparation for the better score. The detailed syllabus of each section is mentioned below in the article. Here, we are providing some important topics of every subject. Candidates are required to prepare important topics first.

JEECE 2017 Important Topics

  • Mathematics Important Topics- 3D and Vectors, Quadratic Equation, Probability, Sequence and Series, Complex Number, Application of Derivatives, Differential Calculus
  • Physics Important Topics - Modern Physics, Heat and Thermodynamics, SHM & Waves, Rotational Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Current Electricity, Electrostatics
  • Chemistry Important Topics- Chemical Bonding and Periodic Table, Periodic Properties, Carbonyl Compounds & their derivatives, Basics of Organic Chemistry, Mole Concept & the concept of equivalents, Solid state, Thermo Chemistry & the Second Law of Thermodynamics

JEECE 2017 Exam Pattern

JEECE exam comprises questions from PCM group. The exam is held in offline (pen and paper based) mode with 150 objective type questions. There are two sections in the PCM subject group exam i.e. section I Physics and Chemistry, section II Mathematics. Every question carries 4 options and only one option is correct. One mark is allotted to each question and 1/4th marks deduct of the total marks for every incorrect answer. The questions are in English and Hindi both languages, In case of problem in translation, the English version is considered final. JEECE 2017 Exam Pattern is different for both section as mentioned below:

Section I – Section I comprises of Physics and Chemistry subject. It carries 100 questions, each subject 50 questions. The duration of the exam is 2 hours (120 Minutes).

Section II - Section II carries 50 MCQs questions based on mathematics only. Applicants have to attempt all the questions in the duration of one hour (60 Minutes).

JEECE 2017 Exam Schedule

JEECE 2017 Exam timing and duration is different for both sections. The exam scheduled is as follow:

JEECE 2017 Syllabus for PCM

JEECE 2017 exam is scheduled for May 07, 2017. It’s conducted for BE/ B.Tech courses admission. The questions are based on class 12th. Mathematics Syllabus

Mathematics consider as one of the tough subjects, it carries equal weightage of questions in the exam. JEECE Section II is based on mathematics properly. Applicants have to attempt 50 questions from this section. The questions of this section are based on graphs and formulas as well as its time consuming section.
